Of course if you are reading this you probably already know that Syncro Vanagon's are the ultimate vehicle. If you do not know, then feel free to check out these websites: http://www.syncro.org/ http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/cat.php?id=55 This is a a 1987 Volkswagen Vanagon Syncro with a Subaru Legacy (1994) 2.2 conversion. This offered better gas mileage and significantly more horse power (135HP) until the motor threw a rod last month. It will need an engine swap or full rebuild. Full conversion in place. Excellent vehicle worth anyone's time to drop in another 2.2. We are going full veggie oil with another syncro and are moving completely away from gas engines. Great, fairly quick project. Van in good condition exterior and interior. Jump seats in place. Carpet removed from inner seating area. All other components mechanically sound. Drive shaft beginning to show some vibrations, but viscous in excellent running condition. Good glass, tires, electrical, seats, etc. Rack not included, nor are the 15" rims pictured. Stock 14" rims will be swapped out. We have another running, stock motor Syncro for sale here also. Moving away from gasoline engines to meet our veggie oil lifestyle of our 40' Greyhound and various other diesel vehicles. Vehicle currently resides in Taos, NM. We will consider transport to SOME locations with payment and additional fee which could be discussed, as we have the equipment and/or time to do so. However, the van is an 87 and there is a picture uploaded with the manufactures date shown.
