This is a 1998 Land Rover Discovery LSE 50th Anniversary Edition with 176,777 miles. The vehicle was running great until the other day (May 21st). Vehicle starts and fine, however, randomly idles rough when started and has driving issues. The brakes, transmission, and everything else is fine. There are three rust spots on the Discovery that I have had looked at and was assured that it is alright. One rust spot on the back left door panel and one on the back right door panel. Neither of these effect the opening or closing of the doors and are not noticeable unless you are looking for them. The third rust spot is on the trunk door, again, is not noticeable unless you open the door and look for it. The Discovery has two new front tires were put on this winter (Toyo Open Country All-Terrain), new spark plugs were put it, and just had the oil changed. I also added HID Hi/Lo headlights to the vehicle which are similar to what are in new Mercedes and Audi vehicles, these lights might the darkest roads look like the sun is out. I have been starting the vehicle daily, the muffler has a large hole and has mostly rusted out. It has now been partially removed. I looked under the vehicle and the exhaust system seems alright for the most part. The muffler will need to be replaced and it cannot be driven in its current state.
