1949 chevy 4400 Stake Body All Original 6 cyl manual. This truck was owned by a farmer in South West Minnesota (windom) and when he passed away his widow sold me the truck in 2009. My intention was to restore it but I have had too many projects to get to it. The truck is at our farm in south west minnesota (alpha) and can be picked up there and I will be happy to help recommend a shipper we have used in the past. The truck runs good with no smoke, no knocks, or misses. the tranny shifts good and clutch is good. the wood stake body is in good shape as pictures show. the truck will need a fuel pump and a master cylinder to make it a great road worthy truck. It yard drives great and will drive on a trailer with no problem. It is original paint and original interior with very minimal rust as the pictures and video will show. The doors and hood open and shut like they should. The truck comes with a clean current title with matching numbers. I do not want to overcall or undercall this truck, but I want to assure you this is a very clean and unmolested truck that with very little work and investment, will make someone a fantastic driver, collector truck, or show truck. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.--> On Jun-28-11 at 14:31:50 PDT, seller added the following information: Just left the farm and tinkered with fuel pump. the fuel pump is absolutely fine. the gas tank has sedimentation in it and needs to be cleaned or replaced.($135 for a new replacement tank) i ran a gas line from an auxillary tank and drove the truck 3 miles 50 mph max. The truck steered tight with no play, shifted great, no smoke, engine purred. ( new video will show) the lights and blinkers , the guages worked, but master cylinder should be replaced. i have included another video so you can hear and see it running. thanks and good luck bidding! this truck is a 12 ft stake body in great shape. battery is good 6 volt and I did not have to jump it.
