I'm selling my 1998 Ford Explorer because the transmission is going bad and I dont want to put any more money into it. Started slipping a few days ago and now it revs really high before it'll engage into gear. I never took it to a garage to be checked out so I dont really know if its a smaller problem or not. I'm assuming the transmission is shot and I'm selling it as is for parts. If you live really close by you can probably drive it home, other than that I would tell you to tow it away. Other than the transmission going kapplooiee all of a sudden, this was a pretty decent car. Its got a big old 8 cylinder enigne, power windows, seats, and doors and keyless entry. Its also got a cd player, cd changer, and bunch of other crap. The body is in good shape. Its AWD so its good in the snow and off road. I called the local junk yard and they offered me $250 for it.
