This is a very solid 1974 Avanti II that is in very good condition. It has a little over 80,000 miles and runs and drives well. It has a 700R transmission which shifts perfectly. It has a newer ZZ4 Chevy 350ci crate motor with about 30,000 miles on it. First I will list the positive points about this Avanti: The body was stripped and repainted several years ago and still has a deep shine. The front and rear bumpers have also been re plated and look great. The front end has been rebuilt and the power steering hoses and control valve have been replaced. The brakes, shocks and exhaust are good and the tires are all most new. This spring I replaced the battery. All of the gauges work fine INCLUDING the clock. A/C blows warm air, the compressor and system work correctly but will need to be charged. All switches and power windows work correctly. Both Hog troughs are solid! Now I will list the negative points: AS you can see the interior will need some work. The side panels and seats should be redone to match but is still usable as is. I replaced the original worn out seats with low back Avanti seats. There is one SMALL crack in the dash near the defrost vent. I think that covers everything. I had the transmisson serviced in 2007 and probably put 5,000 miles since then.
