Uncommon find here or anywhere : You are looking at an original ONE OWNER 1979 Toyota Celica ST coupe with 172,000 miles inc the hard to find AND perfect shifting 5-speed manual trans;factory air conditioning (currently non-functional);power steering;power brakes and in running condition. Included in the sale of this car : ALL the original supporting documentation. The original window sticker aka Monroney label lists all the standard equipment and pricing : MSRP : $5899.00 Options : All Weather Guard Package : $45.00 Power Steering : $165.00 *Am/Fm/MPX radio upgrade : $75.00 Since replaced by owner with Sony CDX compact disc player Original Bill of Sale : sold new Toyota of Greenwich,Ct 9-29-1979 after being dealer swapped from Branch Toyota in Waterbury,CT. Total purchase price was $6544.00 and delivered with 6.3 miles on odometer. Also included is the original finance contract,insurance binder & Naval registration request. Owner had his mother title & register car for him because he couldn't afford the cost of insurance. Gets better too : I have letter typed and signed by his mother giving him her permission to drive the car for any purpose necessary that he sas fit. She even included her phone number should there be any questions about ownership and registration while he was serving in the military down south in Virginia. Now the best part : I was provided with EVERY service record since new from the first service visit completed by a Toyota dealer at 4500 miles to the last service visit at a Toyota dealer at 170,000 miles. The owner easily spent twice the original purchase price just servicing and maintaining his "baby". You just don't see a complete pedigree like this anymore and may never again. After delivering his replacement vehicle to him in Greenwich,CT I then drove a leisurely and uneventful 58 miles back to my dealership where these current photo's were taken.
