I am selling my 2002 Volkswagen Passat W8. This car is loaded with a 270 hp W8 engine, 4Motion all wheel drive, stability control, traction control, heated leather seats, Monsoon stereo, sunroof, keyless entry, memory seats, etc. The car recently had a check engine light come on. I took it to the dealer, and they diagnosed it as having a "bank 1 cam adjuster failure". This problem seems to be intermittent, as it occasionally has a rough idle, and the check engine light will come and go. It does not affect the car when it isn't idling, and it is never so bad that it would stall. Besides the engine issue, the car is in good condition. The only other mechanical flaws are that the passenger side rear window is slow to go up and the front passenger seat heater is not working. The interior is in good condition with no rips, tears, or stains on the leather. The exterior of the vehicle is also in good condition. There are some small dents and scratches consistent with the age of the car. Within the last several months the car has had a new battery installed, new wheels and tires, new HID headlight bulbs, and all routine maintenance performed including new sparkplugs, transmission flush, oil changes, and differential fluid changes. The car just passed TN emissions last month. I am not a dealer. I have a clear TN title free of all liens. Feel free to contact me with any questions or if you would like to inspect the car.
