Vehicle Detail
1999 Dodge Viper RT-10. 52,xxx miles. Stock it was 450 hp. I added Hi-flow Roe racing CATS (still emission and OBD compliant), Borla exhaust, Harland Sharpe 1.7 roller rockers and HD push rods, and a K&N cold air box kit. I estimate these all added at least 50 more HP, for a total of at least 500hp. I also installed a Hurst short throw shifter and the previous owner installed a CD/DVD player in the dash. The car was originally black. I had it painted in April of 2010 in Dodge GTS blue and added the white racing stripes. Only 53 VIPER RT-10's were ever made in this color, so this color combo is rare. I also added the chromed set of stock wheels from a 2005 Viper, which in my opinion are the best wheels for the car. The rims only have about 500 miles on them and they are perfect condition with no marks or curb damage at all. I installed a new radiator, thermostat, fluids, plugs, SCT tuner with OBD scanner with Roe tune, all new OEM sway bar links and bushings in all 4 corners. New brakes too. I use synthetic oil also. The body is almost MINT perfect. It is 99% perfect. The interior is in real good shape but does have some small imperfections, which I will address in time if it does not sell, such as minor "pulls" in the seats at a seam, a crack in the side of the center console (not very noticeable, see picture), and other minor things. I am tall so I also installed a seat lowering kit in the driver seat, so it does not adjust right now. I do have the stock parts to put it all back to stock if needed. I also have a matching painted/striped hard top (shown installed in photo), which I only used once. I only drive it on perfect weather days, so I don't use the top. Tires are in great shape and the car needs nothing. The valve covers and intake are red in color from the factory, which I did not like. I had the valve covers powder coated black and the intake painted black. A couple minor touch ups on the intake would make it perfect, but they are barely noticeable. Car cover included. This car is stored in a heated garage under a cover when not in use. Its fast and turns a lot of heads. Dodge is no longer making Vipers (sold the franchise to Fiat). Fiat may start making them again for 2013, but nothing is certain. It is rumored they will be totally different an no longer have the V10 or the traditional Viper looks. This Gen II model has the forged internals making it one of the most desired ones. They changed body style with the GEN III models in 2003 - which made them look more like a Vette, and the hood opens like a regular car. This GEN II (96-02) has the forward open hood and the front fenders and hood are all one piece. Viper enthusiasts and websites typically refer to the GEN II's, and often specifically the 99's, as the best one to have (for many reasons which I could explain in person) and I agree. Serious buyers are welcome to come see it. Clean clear CT title in hand. Trades considered such as GM car from the 1930's, 40's, 50's, or 60's - trades must be nice. Not wanting any big projects. Email me if you are interested and have the money to buy it. murphybikes@msn.com I check emails several times a day. To answer some questions I have been getting, this VIPER has its original drive train that came in the car (matching numbers) - with the exception of the upgrades (original motor, trans, rear end, etc.). It has cold A/C, SRS airbags, and 4 wheel disc brakes. I have the OEM shifter, rockers, push rods, air box, and seat hardware - and it all comes with the car. This year VIPER has the forged motor internals making it a perfect candidate for a turbo or supercharger upgrade. This car did not come with ABS brakes from the factory (I think they came standard in 2000 or 2001). I will assist in shipping for a non-local purchase, if someone wants to buy it sight unseen. Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges unless they pick it up. Check my feedback, its perfect.
