Vehicle Detail
This car was bought by my grandfather in Germany in 1961 and has been in the family ever since. The drive train including engine, trans front and rear suspension has all been rebuilt with 10K miles. During Carb rebuild it was discovered through the factory restoration service that the car is a homologation special for the era as it has dual Solex carburators. All the chrome has been restored, new dash with rebuilt gauges. Reat of interior in good condition but needs work. Body has some rot typical for these cars with restoration started but not finished. My dad started restoration but passed away before completion. This will be a great car with some TLC to finish it. This car is an estate sale and I have way too many other cars in the estate so the last bidder gets it. No reserve. I have every nut, bolt, screw, clip and part that came with the car. I have factory shop manuals, diagrams from the Mercedes factory restoration service and diagrams that my archietect dad drew of everything that was dissembled from the car. I have EVERY piece of paper for everything that was every done to the car since birth. You will not find a more comprehensively documented car anywhere. This is not a joke! This car will make a fantastic project and a very nice car when completed.
