It has been repainted and looks good. There is a slight blemish in the paint on the hood. The front seats have been refinished and are serviceable. The wood applique in the passenger compartment is in very good condition. The trunk is clean. The rear seat has scuffs on the top back where power top has rubbed when putting top down. The power top is Chocolate brown and is in pretty good shape. It does not leak but some of the stitches have broken and there are a few very small distress cracks on the seam near the fold. I know of no rust in the car. Here is the normal maintenance and recent work I have had done: Three new belts for alternator, power steering and A/C. Serviced transmission and repaired or replaced fluid lines 1/2009. New tires were put on the car in May of 2009 and they have only about 15000 miles on them. New spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor and a new valve cover gasket in 2009. Runs great. New pinion seals, gaskets and fluids in the differential. New blower motor for the climate control system. Replaced power steering reservoir - doesn't leak.. New front brake rotors and pads in March 2011. Cleaned, checked and adjusted wheel bearings in March 2011. A/C system is all there but needs service. Needs freon leak repaired. System blows cold when it has freon. I have owned MGs, Triumphs, and Healeys and this is the first British sports car that even had A/C - but it is all there when you want to fix it. New Sony AM/FM/CD radio installed. Original radio and CD player in trunk. The Jaguar XJS was a $60,000 car when new. They are very smooth and will cruise all day at high speed on the Interstate. The engine is a big 4.0 litre 6 cylinder that is very smooth. This Jaguar is 17 years old and is not perfect but I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere. I have driven it to Gulf Shores, AL twice, to New Jersey and to the North Carolina mountains several times to view the autumn leaves and enjoy the convertible ride. This car is dependable, a pleasure to drive and really hugs the road. LOW RESERVE! GOOD LUCK.
