My M3 is already updated, thus saving you thousands. Current condition: The E46 M3 is really built well and can handle a lot of wear on the interior without showing major signs of wear. But the M3 sits low to the ground, which causes most anyone to sit in the seat in an way that causes major wear on one side of the seat. The seats are the most noticeable and wearable item in all used M3s, and you will notice that these seats are in great condition. That is better condition than most used 2003 models by far. A/C blows ice cold (on a 100 degree day) Heated seats work perfect Non-Smoker Always covered and garaged High speed wax applied once a year Leather interior cleaned and conditioned once a year Ding/dent free! No really - NO DINGS ANYWHERE! Why am I selling? Unfortunately I have 2 baby twins to care for now, and my precious ride does not fit my new lifestyle. I am looking to buy a new SUV or Family Sedan at the request of my wife. Why should this be your next car? Although there are many M3s to choose from, buy my car with the confidence in know EVERY detail about this ride. Other sellers will hide the small things, only for you to find out AND pay for them later. This description is meant to be comprehensive and cover everything good AND not so good so there are no financial surprises later. Great condition means: Smooth seats with none of those ugly cracks everywhere. Many seats you see are simply Armor-all’d up to show good for the pics, and will quickly reveal their true colors in a couple of days. I never use Armor-all or any cheap stuff like that. My seats are always cleaned first (with a citrus oil based cleansing solution) then conditioned to preserve the moister. Thats why my seats don’t have to be super shiny with oil just to look good. All electrical and mechanical parts working with no updating required. You shouldn’t have to spend money on any luxury car AFTER you bought it. Beware that E46 and newer M3s have very expensive parts and you don’t want to have to drop $3500 on a hydraulic pump after you buy the car. Research and you will find that M3 owners have trouble with this part after 60K miles, so be sure the M3 you buy has this part replaced before you buy, because otherwise it will be your expense. Not tricked out with a bunch of after market parts that aren't to factory specs OR functionality. You WILL loose functionality so buyer beware when looking into to customized Beamers. Any problems or imperfections? As with ANY used car, you have to know there are things that has become worn over time. The only thing you as the buyer can hope is that all things large or small will be known BEFORE you buy. Most sellers are reluctant of course, but I operate my business dealing with integrity. Dealerships can not know everything, as only the owner has lived with the nuances of car. I am the only owner of this M3, and here are my observations: 1. Chip in windshield. The size is smaller than a pencil eraser, but was filled with resin immediately to prevent spreading. See windshield pic for a visual. ($0) 2. The grey interior trim in slightly worn on both door panel arm rests and padel shifters. If you plan on upgrading these panels to aluminum or carbon fiber (about $400) then this is a non-issue. Refer to door panel pics for visual. ($300) 3. The auto-dimming mirror has leaked the blue stuff out and damaged the two plastic panels in the center console. I am currently replacing all damaged parts with new ones from the factory, so disregard damage shown in pics. I will gladly send updated pics once the job is complete. New mirror, 2 center console panels and carpet replaced. Nothing repaired, everything replaced. ($700) 4. Wear showing in back of arm rest behind middle console. Refer to arm rest pics for visual. ($150) 5. Small pea-sized scratch on back of driver’s seat. Refer to driver’s seat back pic for visual. ($0) 6. Rear brake pads will need replacing in about 5K miles. ($200) That’s it. If you have read through everything and made it this far, then I would assume you to be a serious buyer. Being an M3 owner, I know the buyers looking for QUALITY will want to know such details so that is why I chose to be so thorough in my description. If other sellers are not going into detail, then you have to assume 2 things: Either the details are not positive, or they are not knowledge enough about the history enough to speak about it. Either way is not good for you, the buyer. Serious inquiries only please. I am in no rush to sell. Which inquiries will I ignore: All inquiries that look like they were created by a 5 year old will be ignored. Any questions about information that is already covered in this description. Any questions about low pricing details without seeing this M3 in person. I understand this car’s market very well, and have priced this beauty of a car very competitively based on its current condition. There are plenty of other M3s out there with more cosmetic and mechanical wear (or less known details about the car’s history). I suggest you try those cars if you are looking for a steal of a deal. But if your priority is buying a quality car with no hidden secrets, then please contact me. Introduce yourself and get to know the car. Thanks for looking and reading!
