It is very reliable with a relaxed and comfortable feet forward riding position that makes it a great cruiser. It starts every time, has great gas mileage and is a real pleasure to ride. The low center of gravity and easy handling gives it a great relaxed feel. With only 24,000 miles, the 600 cc engine still runs like new. It runs strong and easy, has no oil leaks and plenty of power for highway speeds. I personally think this is a great bike for someone looking to move up from a smaller bike, someone who is just getting back into riding, or a beginner who doesn't want to have to trade up as soon as they have gotten comfortable with the basics. Mechanically, the bike couldn't be better. She starts great, shifts smooth, runs strong and there are no leaks anywhere. The bike received a new battery last year and both tires were replaced within the last two years. They probably have only 1,200 miles on them. (I have 5 other bikes in the garage, so I simply haven't had the time to ride each of them a lot recently.)
