Vehicle Detail
This is a real 50's all steel Hot Rod started in 1951 by a man named Jim Woxman (now deceased) in Dayton Ohio The car was drag raced at the old DayHio airport in the 50's and 60's. I bought the car three years ago. I always wanted a real Flathead Hot Rod and when I found that a company named S.C.o.T. built one of the earliest Roots type blowers in Italy and sold them in the U.S. for Flathead ford's that clinched it for me. As I soon found out however early S.C.o.T. blowers are much rarer than 32 Ford's. So I set out to find the blower first. After many months I found one, bought it ( not cheap ) and sent it to a guy in Calif. that rebuilds them. He told me that mine was made in 1956 and was in very good condition and replaced seals and bearings etc. polished it and sent it back. Now the hunt for the 32 started and I found the 32 in Dayton with duel Stromberg 97's. I bought the car and had my mechanic install the blower and do other things like install a new fuel tank, run a new fuel delivery system and exhaust system. I had it Flamed. The car features the following. 32 Ford all steel body chopped & channeled 8" , 42 ford chassis (altered to fit) 47 ford (59A) flathead motor, Offenhauser High compression heads, Caddy oversize valves, ( block machined ) twin chromed Stromberg 97's, A 3/4 grind Camshaft , 39 Ford 3 speed trans. 42 Ford truck rearend, enclosed driveshaft and of course the S.C.o.T. blower. Other items of interest are 53 Ford truck instrument cluster ( + 1 extra ) 35 Ford car radiator, 33 Ford truck grill and shell, 39 Ford teardrop tail lights, 12 volt elec system, Homemade reversed rear wheels,47 Ford hubcaps,41 Ford trim rings, 39 Ford Banjo steering wheel. As you can see back in the 50's the car guys used what they had, what they could find and what ever would fit to build their HOT ROD'S. This car is by no means a flawless super duper top level show car but if your looking for a fun fast ride this is it. There is no rust, There is no top or windows. I am starting the bidding at a price equal to the value of the S.C.o.T. Blown Flathead alone. THERE IS NO RESERVE. Please click on and read the Payment tab before you bid, I have just bought another ( allways wanted ) car and so the 32 has to go. It's either one car and one wife or two cars and no wife.
