1941 Chevy 1/2 ton pick up. This truck was owned by the previous owner in southeast minnesota for 14 years. He used it as a daily driver and elected to leave it orginal because of the great patina and original look. He claims he bought it from the original owner. He sold the truck due to retirment and relocating to south carolina and could not take the truck with him. I bought it a couple of years ago to add to my personal collection with the intention of leaving it 100 percent original. I have just added new cars into my collection and something had to go. It is original paint with all original chrome with minimal rust and no bondo ( as pictures and video show) . The enigne runs like a dream, the trans shifts beautifully. The clutch is good and the brakes are good. I was very impressed with how well it handles with no play in the steering. I have not driven this other than our farm roads and no higher than 50 mph. This is a great entry level show truck, car club truck, daily driver, or take it to the next level to a full restoration. I would just go over all mechanics to be sure it is long trip road worthy. I would replace the wire harness as it is the original in the truck and resoder the radiator neck that the cap goes on in as it is loose. There are no radiator leaks or abnormal oil leaks. The gas tank was cleaned and fully functional. The bed has plywood in it (not original woodslats) but the frame is good. One side of the windshield is cracked. both window glasses are good and go up and down. All of the guages are in tact and seem to work. Both bumpers are there. It does not smoke and there are no engine noises. The truck has been stored inside my temp controlled indoor showroom. This is a numbers matching clear title with original vin plate intact. There is great patina on the rear tailgate, and the truck is still the original blue! the worse rust in my opinion is the rear fender and running boards( as pics will show). This is a very collectable and great driving truck that with little effort, could be made as a daily dependable driver and only go up in value!. I do not want to overcall or undercall this truck as it is what it is.
