This car is a survivor that retains some of its original paint and its entire original interior. This car is Wimbledon white and has a factory red interior; with a newer white top (has stain where it looks like hydraulic fluid somehow gave it a shot). I am selling this car as a driver as it is not a show car. There is the natural paint checking on the quarters and fenders; which is where the original paint still rests. There have been some touchups over the years but no official repaint has been done. The trunk lid has been repainted. There are a few scratches (tried to picture one on passenger side but it’s very hard to see) that has been touched up. There are also some bubbles (very small) on passenger door corner towards the front. Also, the driver’s side rear quarter seam where the flip up trunk lid meets quarter panel is surface rusting (pictured). Other than that, there are no holes or serious structural issues with the car. It is a VERY solid car. Rockers and floors are original and free of any rotting. The worst part of the car is the rear weather-stripping channel where it will need to be replaced if desired. The door gaps are absolutely perfect. The interior is in great ORIGINAL shape. Keep in mind; this isn’t a replacement interior that looks perfect. It shows its wear, mostly in discoloration, not rips or tears. The dash chrome/molding is showing its age. The chrome is nice and still has sheen. Glass is all excellent and the windows all roll up nice. The tilt away wheel works well. The steering wheel itself is very nice with no cracks. Horn doesn’t work. I do know the aftermarket radio, fuel gauge, voltage gauge, and speedometer work. Now for the power top; it is not functional but it appears that everything is there. It looks like someone attempted to fix it and just left it after they disassembled it. It will need to be assembled (included is a factory assembly manual) as the two pieces currently lie in position and do not function. As far as drivability goes it doesn’t drive spectacular but does drive pretty well. The engine starts with a bump of the key and does no smoke at all. It seems to operate at a good temperature. The transmission shifts well in every gear. It does have some vibration at particular speeds but does smooth out. The power brakes work well. Up For auction (NO RESERVE) is a hard to find 1964 Ford Thunderbird Convertible with the original #’s matching 390-4V motor and automatic transmission showing only 39K miles. This car is a survivor that retains some of its original paint and its entire original interior. This car is Wimbledon white and has a factory red interior; with a newer white top (has stain where it looks like hydraulic fluid somehow gave it a shot).

I am selling this car as a driver as it is not a show car. There is the natural paint checking on the quarters and fenders; which is where the original paint still rests. There have been some touchups over the years but no official repaint has been done. The trunk lid has been repainted. There are a few scratches (tried to picture one on passenger side but it’s very hard to see) that has been touched up. There are also some bubbles (very small) on passenger door corner towards the front. Also, the driver’s side rear quarter seam where the flip up trunk lid meets quarter panel is surface rusting (pictured). Other than that, there are no holes or serious structural issues with the car. It is a VERY solid car. Rockers and floors are original and free of any rotting. The worst part of the car is the rear weather-stripping channel where it will need to be replaced if desired. The door gaps are absolutely perfect.

The interior is in great ORIGINAL shape. Keep in mind; this isn’t a replacement interior that looks perfect. It shows its wear, mostly in discoloration, not rips or tears. The dash chrome/molding is showing its age. The chrome is nice and still has sheen. Glass is all excellent and the windows all roll up nice. The tilt away wheel works well. The steering wheel itself is very nice with no cracks. Horn doesn’t work. I do know the aftermarket radio, fuel gauge, voltage gauge, and speedometer work.

Now for the power top; it is not functional but it appears that everything is there. It looks like someone attempted to fix it and just left it after they disassembled it. It will need to be assembled (included is a factory assembly manual) as the two pieces currently lie in position and do not function.

As far as drivability goes it doesn’t drive spectacular but does drive pretty well. The engine starts with a bump of the key and does no smoke at all. It seems to operate at a good temperature. The transmission shifts well in every gear. It does have some vibration at particular speeds but does smooth out. The power brakes work well.
