Vehicle Detail
Hey guys, I got up for sale my 88 Chrysler Conquest TSI, the car has every option available for the year including the SHP package. A little info about the car is for one it is completely unmolested stock with the exception of a cleanable airfilter mounted in the stock airbox, and jegs 8mm sparkplug wires, recent tuneup (oil change, sparkplugs, radiator flush, yadayadayada). When I bought the car it was blue and the paint was faded in a few areas so I masked the car off sanded it and primed it black my wife decided that she liked it like that so I unmasked it. The car is basically ready for a top coat. The only real damage to the car when I bought it was the front spoiler had a few splits in it which are now fixed and there was a dent behind the drivers door right next to the fuel door, I popped the dent as much as possible (no holes or anything) and used a glazing compound and steel body mesh to fix it, so it is nice and solid. The interior is actually in excellent condition ie carpets and dash and rear seats, the only blemishes are the front seats have I guess you would call them creases where you sit and the drivers lumbar support has a tear, nothing major. This thing is in amazing shape and even has its original tape deck. Now for the story I got about the mileage as the odometer is broken/not working I was told that an older gentleman bought the car new and I am now the third owner. He couldn't handle it in winter and traded it in at a local dealership, the guy I bought it from purchased it after it had been traded with around 30000 miles. He told me he drove it for what he guessed 7 or 8 thousand miles after he bought it. So lets say the car has under 50000 miles on it and that is overkill because I have barely driven it. Do I believe the story, yes I do...do I think the guy cleaned the engine and sprayed the underbody to make his story work...NO you should have seen this guy...um there is no way he did anything of the sort. This car has not been abused and the boost has never been turned up and the computer never modified. I have taken very good care of this car since I bought it and I know the gentleman before me did also. I really hate to sell, "her" but I have other interests I need to focus on. I would not hesitate to drive this car over long distances if purchaser wishes to pick up in person. And I am also willing to help ship the car, ie set up a shipper and assist in loading. May even be willing to drive the car to a local shipping depot if the distance is under 150mi to save purchaser some money on shipping. Pick up Terms- If purchaser wishes to pick the vehicle up in person I would prefer this be handled in a timely manner, preferably within 2weeks. Mileage- I will answer any questions about the mileage if any are to be had, but all I know is the story I got from previous owner, the engine and undercarriage are extremely clean and there are no signs that this vehicle has been driven over 100000 miles in my book, but I will answer what I can honestly. Condition- I believe I have described this vehicle honestly and to the best of my ability, car is "As-Is" with no warranty expressed or implied, pictures show condition and what you see is what you are purchasing. Only mechanical issue that I know of with the car is I believe the mechanical advance on the dizzy is going out. It has a little lag or bog on takeoff and if you hold it at a constant rpm it will kind of bog until you give it fuel. I don't know it could be the fuel filter too I just don't have the time hunt down the exact problem. Car runs and drives just fine with this issue but as you know to get the most out of it that needs fixed. I found a new distributor on rockauto.com for around 135.00 with no core charge so not exactly an expensive fix. Sorry about the interior being dirty, I will have it cleaned and detailed by the auction end :) Just did not have time to do it yet.
