Vehicle Detail
Baby on the way means some toys have to go! I bought this 914 last year off an E-bay listing and drove it 200 miles home without any issues. I have had great luck with the car since then. The car runs well and has been stored in my garage when not in use. I have done the following since I have had the car: New Bridgestone Potenza's New American Eagle "Empi" style rims New upgraded master cylinder New braided stainless steel brake lines All four brake calipers from PMB Performance All four new brake pads Replaced headlight motor (drivers side) New steering wheel New battery New alternator Replaced tail light gaskets Replaced rear trunk seal Replaced passenger side door gasket (also purchased drivers side) I have put less than 150 miles on the car since having the tires, rims and brakes replaced. All brake work was performed by my local Porsche mechanic. All lights work properly including the headlights. The car runs well and is a blast to drive. The interior might have been redone at some point and is in good shape. There is a small split in the seam forming at the top of the drivers headrest. Carpet is a little faded but without holes or rips. I do not see any rust in the "hell hole" but there are small surface rust areas in the front trunk and the rear trunk as shown in the photos. I have not seen any other rust or indicators. The jack holes are strong and have I have tried them to make sure. The door gaps are all correct and close and open as they should. The paint is tired and I was planning on tackling that this year before we found out we are expecting. The engine cover lid needs to be adjusted. There is a scratch down the passenger side door (visible in the pics) and primer showing on the drivers side headlight cover. The PO installed speakers in the door and I replaced those with new Sony speakers. The Porsche rocker decal is missing on the drivers side. The top is in good shape. All rubber on the car is still in good shape and is not misshapen. When I bought the car, it had a new fuel pump and the motor had been completely rebuilt at 145k. In my opinion, the car is in great shape and really just needs paint. Also included is the original steering wheel, two (2) baby tornado mirrors, headlight motor, and the original Mahle type wheels. Deposit of US $500.00 within 24 hours of auction close via PayPal. Full payment required within 7 days of auction close via certified check or cash in person. Buyer is responsible for shipping. The car is located in Northern CA and I might be able to assist with delivery within 100 miles from here but please confirm with me. I am not a mechanic but please feel free to ask me any questions. You know the routine: Don't bid if you don't intend to buy! All abuse will be reported immediately! Reasonable reserve! Happy bidding! On Jun-05-11 at 06:53:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Update - The drivers side carpet is showing signs of wear near the sill. Carpet kits are around $150 on E-bay I believe. The battery tray itself is breaking down but the metal underneath and around it is not.
