Up for auction is a 1988 Chevy pickup. This is a half ton truck 2WD with an 8' box, an automatic transmission, and a V-8 305 motor. It has a class 3 hitch with a flat 4 trailer plug that works. The good, new alternator, new front brakes, fancy Kenwood stereo with remote, new muffler with dual exhaust. Very reliable truck. Truck runs and drives as it should and has 197,000 miles on it. In April it passed NYS inspection, the truck is very road worthy. The truck was originally a southern truck, the box supports are all solid, the frame is solid, the cab is solid, the only rust on the truck is over all 4 wheels, the cab corners, the tailgate and rear bumper. All 4 tires are 75% or better. Tranny was serviced not long ago and oil was changed regularly. The bad, the truck has 197,000 miles on it. It smokes on start up like they all do, but burns little to no oil. The passenger side window does not go down, but I have a new used motor that is included with the truck. The A/C does not work. The pinion seal on the rear end leaks and I think maybe an axle seal, not alot but thought I should mention it. I'm only selling this truck because I bought a 3/4 ton.
