Up for auction is a very solid FJ40 with minimal rust. I have been using it as a semi-daily driver and weekend toy. The engine starts right up and runs strong. I had acompression test performed and the cylinders came in at: 125,125,120,120,120,125. The transmission shifts well and the clutch feels strong, but there is a little chatter and wine. I think the original color was a putty color but it is white now. There are a few areas where the paint is starting to bubble do to rust but it is not rusting all the way thru with bad cancer. The floor boards all look very solid with no rust other than lite surface. This car was originally from southern California. Items that have been replaced: ignition modual, exhaust manifold, radio, speakers, dash pad cover, seat covers, carpet, door panels, headliner, shocks, lift kit, whole exhaust system, most brake lines, steering shock, rear gas tank (the reversing valve on rear tank does not seem to work). Note and pictures added May 31,2011: floor boards, engine compartment, rear door sill, poster of "Bahia Tortugas B.C.S. 2009". This vehicle was the FJ40 used as one of the sponsor vehicles in the Bahia Tortugas B.C.S. in 2009 and had all the sponsor decals one it. I removed most of the decals. As for the smog/emission controls, I believe it is all intact.
