1971 Other Makes MC400

This is a used Maico MC400. The neck tag reads: Typ MC400 Baujahr 19-- Fahrgest 383681 Hubraum 386 ccm Leergew 105 kg Stamped on the engine right side: 71 (in circle) S 3086/1 869 b 209 According to my "cheat sheet" this should be a 1971 square barrel with a wide ratio transmission. The kick lever is missing but the splines are good. Shifts well, clutch works. Motor turns over. Has a Bing carburetor. There is pitting on the front forks. I see no cracked, broken or missing fins. I see no damage to the cases. The seat cover is torn. There has been a protective cover on the plastic gas tank. The gas tank is in great shape. There is a hole in the bottom frame tube, as shown in photo. There is evidence of welding on the swingarm, per photo. The rear loop behind the shocks has been heated. The air box is broken, the air cleaner is in place. The rear plastic fender is broken from the mount. The mileage listed is for Ebay purposes only as there is no odometer. This motorcycle has been raced so there may be unseen damage. THIS IS FOR PICKUP ONLY - THERE IS NO TITLE. Payment due within 3 days from end of auction. Following up on a tip from a viewer, I removed the timing side cover and found the bridge between the chain and the ignition area has been broken out. I have included a close-up photo of that area.
