Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1964 Olds 442 Convertible. To the best of my knowledge the "Real Deal", numbers matching", 3 owner "Rust Free" 41,000 believed to be actual miles Arizona car. This car is yellow with a black top and matching black interior. This is the info I received from the previous owner. The car was bought in New Jersey new in 64 by a surgeon who took it to his winter home in Arizona in the fall of 1964. It remained there until his death. His brother got the car . He had the car all these years until I took it in trade a few years back. The car has been sitting 90% of it's life in a garage covered up! I took the car in trade about 4 years ago on my 1970 Olds 442 W30 that I bought in the 70's. The car has a 330V8/310 h.p. and a automatic transmission. Yes. A Automatic. I have the Doc's from Oldsmobile that says it is real. Both rebuilt with about 2,000 miles. They both had to be rebuilt according to the previous owner because they leaked fluids from sitting/dried seals etc. Power steering and power top, am radio etc. Bucket seats, console, and factory Tach. The previous owner put on the 65 Olds rallye wheels because he didn't like the whitewalls and factory hubcaps. (The originals go with the car) The previous owner did the restoration. I was told it had the original paint and was rust free except the trunk had one little spot where water got under the mat and sat. when he restored the car he put in a complete new truck as he did not want to patch it. He did a great job. I can not tell. He obviously spent a lot of time and money on this car as it is in outstanding condition. The car looks to be all original and retaining all of its original panels. Underneath the car is outstanding. No rustproof just painted. It's so nice underneath! I only drove it 3 times or so since I had it as I didnt want to get it dusty and dirty from the road. The car drives and runs excellent as you would expect. IMPORTANT!!! According to Oldsmobile they only made 436 F85/Cutlass convertibles. How many of these cars got the B09 442 package. Nobody seems to know. I know it is extremely rare. I was told by Oldsmobile that the only way they believe to tell if it's real is by the protect-o-plate. It's supposed to have a "X" on the bottom and either a S3 or S4. Which my car HAS on the original protect-o-plate. Also, I have the original window sticker and no where does it say 442. It does say police apprehension pkg which I was told is the 442 pkg. Because there seems to be no clear cut way to tell a 442 and it doesn't say 442 on the window sticker. The car will be sold 'AS-IS" where is. Your buying my car as it sits. You be the judge. I know very little about these cars. But, I believe 100% that it is real. I have all the original books, factory window sticker, protect-o-plate, documentation, and factory brochures. This car is not perfect by any means. It has very minor flaws such as some pitting on the console. a minor crack in the padded dash, things like that. It is in outstanding condition for it's age. I'd say on a overall scale from 1 to 10 and 10 being perfect this car is a 8 to 9. It is in show condition. It could be in any show room the way it sits. I can not find another car anywhere to compare it to. What's it worth? You be the Judge. So bid away and bid to win. I have this car For Sale locally so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time should the car get sold locally. Please..Please come and look at this car. I will be glad to show it with minimal notice. I have tried to be as honest and describe the car the best of my ability. But I'm far from perfect. So, For any questions or to see in person please email me or call me direct at (920) 216-0365 Thanks for your interest. And Happy Bidding to all.
