2003 BMW K-Series

You are looking at a 2003 BMW K1200GT that is still owned by the guy that bought it new in April of 2004. He is a good friend of mine that is not too computer savvy so, I am helping him with selling it. This bike currently has 51725 miles on it. It was originally a darker blue with little or no metallic. My friend removed all the plastic and had it professionally painted a brighter Corvette blue. It came with heated grips and a heated seat. He also has an extra seat that is also heated but is supposed to set you a little lower. It has a new Michelin Pilot tire in the front and a new Pirelli Angel on the rear. The aluminum bracket you see on the rear was fabricated to mount a T-bag or other luggage and can be removed easily. It also has a color matched quick release Givi box with lights. It has Motolights installed down low that work real in foul weather. Also custom installed is two heated gear plugs with their own variable controllers. He also had custom made, a pair of risers for the handle bars to help him sit a little straighter up. These could be removed very easily and didn’t require changing any of the cables/wiring. The bike as a few scrapes and scratches but looks really good for age and mileage. As seen in the pictures on the right side of the engine is a discolored area where a fuel leak occurred. Of course, it has been repaired but he has been unable to get the natural aluminum color restored. This motorcycle has been well maintained and includes a Clymer service manual. The only reason for selling is this gentleman’s physical condition is keeping him from enjoying it. He is looking at getting a touring bike with better back support.
