I am the third owner. I have had it less than a year. This car was originally built for a GM executive in Canada. What that means is the forman at the factory gets notified and the car is followed every step of the assembly to ensure everything is done right. The car was originally titled in Canada, then eventually brought to the U.S. when he was transferred over. The second owner had it several years and had one minor accident in 2006. The left rear tailight and bumper was damaged and replaced. Nothing structural, just cosmetic. All proffesionally done. I bought this vehicle last summer and am unable to keep it. I am not happy about it, it's a beautiful car. I had two issues that I repaired myself. The passenger side headlight was making some noise when opening so I replased the plastic gear with a brass one. Also a common problem with the C-5 series is the ECBM module goes. It went right after I bought it and I took it out and shipped it to ABS fixers and had it repaired with a lifetime warranty. Those are the major ghosts with these cars and that is fixed now. The car is mechanically flawless, the tires were replaced in the last five thousand miles with Michelin zero pressure tires. The body is in very good condition with very minor stone chips on the nose. There is a mild abrasion on the left rear bumper that I don't think shows too well in the picture. It is very hard to see. There is a small crack in the plastic cover that encloses the convertable top. It was out of alignment one day and when I pulled it open it caught on the trunk and created about a two inch crack. I got a quote of 500 dollars to repair it.There is a small 3 inch tear in the drivers seat. That is all the bad that I can find.The car is equipped with HUD display, telescoping steering wheel, memory seats and mirrors, climate control, CD player with 12 CD exchanger in the trunk. It is a very nice car that gets a lot of attention that I really hate to get rid of, but thats life. If you buy it and come from far away I can pick you up at the airport,and you can drive it home. I also live a couple blocks from a Amtrak station if that fits you too. Feel free to ask any questions, I may have forgotten to cover something. Kelly Blue book quotes this car at 23,000 in value. Take off 1000.00 to fix the seat and the cover damage and the car is mint. Summer is coming and cruising with the top down in this car is a blast. Good luck and thanks for looking.
