Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Up for Sale is our well loved 2000 Toyota Tacoma SR5 4x4 Extra Cab Pick up, we are the original owners and purchased it new in 2000. It was first driven by my father and I took it over about 6 years ago. There are not any surprises on the history of this truck; it has always been in our possession. Let me start by saying that this is by far the most reliable vehicle we have ever owned. At 197k miles it has never left me stranded or not started. As you can see it has been well cared for. The truck runs great and has a long life ahead of it. It has only been off road a handful of times (camping fire roads) so the undercarriage is in great shape. The suspension has been upgraded and all work done has been with Japanese OEM parts or better. I still get a lot of comments on it and it is one of the nicer Tacos out there. I just purchased a new Toyota so my baby needs a new home. Engine and Drive train: The engine is the 3.4 L V6 motor (large motor option-not 4 cyl) that has had oil changed every 5k miles since new and regular air filter changes. The motor has not had any issues and all work has been routine maintenance. The timing belt was changed at 13k miles ago with factory Toyota belt. At the same time for preventative maintained I decided to replace all the belt idler pullies, water pump and radiator using only Assin or Koyo parts (all OEM). The battery was replaced about 4 months ago with a Duralast Gold battery. Rear differential is running synthetic and AutoTrans was routinely serviced (although it could use filter change in 5-10k). All links, driveshaft have been lubed. Before putting up on EBay I had my mechanic do a once over and he found one ripped CV boot…. so I replaced all the 4 CV boots as a precaution. I also just changed the air filter and cleaned the maf sensor. Oil change is not due for another 2k miles. The four wheel drive is automatic shift on the fly and operates with no issues. The front brakes were replaced about 6 month ago with ceramic pads. Body: The body is in great shape for with the a few small door dings/ nicks here and there (see pictures) but overall it is very clean. I generally park away from other vehicles and am religious about detailing the truck every couple months since new. The only body work ever done on the truck was a small dent next to the right rear taillight that was repaired (see picture before it was repaired….again it has been fixed) about a year ago. It was minor and repaired with a factory Toyota taillight. It was professionally repaired and I had the shop spray the entire bed and tailgate (not because it needed it…it was in great shape minus the dent) so there would be no blending issues. The matching looks great. Again, what you see the original paint and it is in nice shape. I try to be detailed so I took a few pictures of roof were you can see small areas bubbling of the roof paint. As you can see from the undercarriage the truck is extremely clean and has no real rust issues. They are small rust bubbles and just under surface of paint, the metal underneath is solid and has no bad flaking. I removed the Tacoma and Sr5 badging for a cleaner look. The doors tailgate all operate very smoothly and are tight as the should. All door seals/window seals are in good condition. There are two dings in rear chrome bumper. And a chip on the front bumper. As I said there are nicks here and there but as you can see from the pictures it is really clean. Suspension: Front: Fabtech fts2100 adjustable coil over suspension (the correct way to lift-not a cheap spacer lift). Theses are rebuild able and have been rebuilt and serviced approximately 18k miles ago, adjusted to approximately 2 to 2.5 inch lift. Can adjust lift spanner wrench in minutes.Rear: Deaver full Springs (not cheap add a leafs) that provide about 2.5 lift with ranch shocks. Not only do these allow for better articulation but the drastically improved the ride over stock.Wheels are 17 inch Pro Com extreme forged alloy with 285/70/17 Hankook mud terrain (fairly quiet/good reviewed wear for mud terrain tires). Keep in mind that these are mud tires and produce more noise than all terrain. They look better tho. The pro comp are double chrome plated and have some pitting/corrosion (Mainly in the crevasse…see picture) and not on the face. 3 inch body liftSpidertrax hub centric wheel spacers-adds about 2 inch to widen the stance of the front. Added stability at highway speed and very strong. Stereo: Pioneer Premier 9800bt cd. Bluetooth, external mike, Hands free phone, runs BT audio. Streams music through Bluetooth (phone, ECT) Pioneer amp, Infinity Mids and tweeters, Infinity Woofer/sub, Pioneer 6’s. Lots of sound.External Accessories: Bushwacker cut out flairs (painted to match), full nurf bars (modified to run the length of bed), Bull bar/off road lights (lights never hooked up..one has crack in lens), Bed liner (on since truck was new so bed is perfect). 5500lbs receiver hitch, alarm. Interior: Interior is in good shape(no smoking), a few minor scuffs/stains here and there but overall looks good for the use. Headliner, dash and carpet look good. The driver seat has a rip on the seat from wear but had a fitted cover on it for the last couple years, passenger seat has some staining (took the cover off so you can see in pictures). Rear seats look great. Overall I have never been a fan of Tacoma seats and was planning on switching to corbeau a-4 but the seats are ok (see Pict). The Ac blows cold, has all sr5 options (clock, ECT).Rear sliding window. It has power door locks, push button entry, cruise control, dual airbags and it has roll up windows. Yes, roll up windows….my dad special ordered it that way. Although his choice held up because the window operate tightly as they should and don’t have any play in them.It does not have a sunroof...somehow ebay autofilled that option. Undercarriage: The truck is a California truck and has seen very little off road use with the exception of fire roads while camping. The undercarriage is free from any damage or rust problems. The truck runs and drives good. If you are not familiar with Tacoma’s I would suggest you test drive one. They are built proof but the 4x4 are not huge on creature comforts. It is a 4x4. The truck handles well for a lifted truck and goes down the road with very little wandering and vibration (expect a little on any lifted vehicle with off road tires). Alignment and tire rotation has been done on a regular schedule. This truck handles well and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. Keep in mind that although this truck has been well maintained but it is still a 197k mile used truck. So if you’re looking for perfection you should buy new. However if your looking for a well maintained reliable used truck then this is the one for you. I have seen few that are cleaner and as nicely set up. If you are in the So Cal area feel free to contact me if you would like to test drive. Please feel free to ask questions…I will also try to post and answer all questions. The more questions the better. I would like the winner to be happy with the purchase and give my Tacoma a good home. I would hate to see it abused. Also I reserve the right to end this auction early.
