Vehicle Detail

The owner purchased it used in 1969 at Ralphs Chrysler Plymouth in Downey, California. The owner seen it on a advertisment dealer Commercial on t.v. The sister of the owner said he had to have it as it was what he was looking for. He added the time period rear shackles & torque rims to make it look like a hotrod. He used to take it to "LACR dragstrip" in Southern California. Famous historical LACR's main feature was its 1/4 mile dragstrip, which was first opened in 1964. In 1973, he was diagnosed and was unable to drive anymore. He moved in with his mom in Garden Grove, a few blocks away from Disneyland. He parked the Camaro behind her home in the backyard with a car cover. Over the next 20 years, he had intentions on puting it back on the road, slowly working on. The odometer last showing 72,143 are original. In the late 90's, he passed away and left it in the same spot. His sister wanted to sell the Camaro but the mom was not willing to give it up. In till' recently, she came to thought it was time. - Close to 40 years later, hidden away behind a home in the backyard being last registered in 1972. A True California Find - This is an 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Factory RS/SS 350. Original color combination is Emerald Turquoise with a Black vinyl top & Black Custom Deluxe interior. Factory Options Include Super Sport 350 - Rally Sport Package - 4 Speed Munchie - Black Deluxe Custom Interior - Console - Folding Rear Seat - Int Decor Group - All Deluxe Belts - All Tinted Glass A very much original & unrestored Camaro. Wearing most of whats left of the original Emerald Turquoise/pinstripe/bumble stripe. Built & spent it's entire life in Los Angeles. A excellent example of a California Camaro. Remains the original Black plates "UQF 625". All original panles and undercarriage. Trunk pan is original and has surface rust from the rubbber mat. You can see where the owner was starting to prime it here & there. The vinyl top was taken off years ago. I do have a few extra moldings that was found in the trunk. Overall, it's original body. The interior is 100% bone stock. Never been taken out of the car & is original. As you can see it's complete from the back of the chairs to the folding rear chair. Looks as the rear seat package tray was taken out. All glass is there & have the vinyl top moldings. Now the drivetrain. I decoded it & found the the Block is the correct 350 CE replacment. Still has the factory numbers matching 4 speed muncie / shifter. Under the hood is very much stock but looks as the owner painted a few things black with a can. The rear end is not original and look like a old ford 9 inch rear, time period. Missing the exhaust & driveshaft what I can see. Has not close to 40 years bit does roll with good tires. Will need to be trailered. Here are the Correct #'s I found under the hood. Correct Block Casting : 3892657 - Correct Block Pad: CE831710 - Transmission: P7A06 - Intake Manifold: 3905393 A167 - Distributor: 1111168 - Heads: L/R 3890462 Early L16 K166 Overall, this is a unrestored True 1967 Camaro RS/SS 4 speed Back yard Find that was last registered in 1972. This is something that does not come around very often is very rare to see a RS/SS with most of it's original paint. A rare find at a No Reserve Auction. Being sold as a project car. Will need to be restored. SS Gril emblem is broken. _____________________________________________ Term & Conditions ___________________________________________ I have set my auction at a very Rare 5 Days with No Reserve setting.
