Vehicle Detail
This is an outstanding pickup, I have put a lot of time and effort into getting all the bugs worked out it. This 1959 F100 is in excellent running condition. Motor: 1971 302ci Ford small block with 69 heads 50k miles on motor Holley 4bbl intake, edelbrock carburetor Brand new fuel pump newer water pump 10k miles Aluminum valve covers Suspension: Front end has a 4" drop axle Billet Drop tie rod blocks Brand new front brakes and wheel cylinders Lowering springs Steering has been converted to Toyota steering box. - Very clean and TIGHT, works outstanding, pitman arm conversion but uses the original style drag link. The ride is excellent and very smooth. New nitrogen shock I have installed a sway-bar in the front that works extremely well Something that you just don't see on a straight axle. Rear end: 9" for rear with 3.55 gears Brand new axle seals, brakes, wheel cylinders lowered in the rear also Brand new nitrogen shocks in the rear also lowering shackles in the rear that are new with new bushings Drive line and u-joints are new Transmission: Ford Aod 4 speed automatic Has a light B&M shift kit Stall converted is 2600 RPM new filter and has been serviced regularly since rebuilt Lokar shifter that is mounted right to the transmission not the floor mount model. It has the tall shifter Body: The front fenders do have some rust in the bottoms of them (usual spot) The hood is in great shape along with everything else The Bed does not have any rust in it The cab has completely torn apart and repainted inside, Rhino lining on the floor. I did patch a couple of small pin hole spots before having the floors sprayed. Floor boards are very sound on this pickup. I used PPG Golden Rod Yellow on the interior (original paint code) The doors are in excellent shape and have absolutely no rust in them at all, I sandblasted the entire inside of the cab and the doors before I painted them to ensure a quality product. The bed has it's regular wear that an old pickup would. Again no rust in the bed, The tailgate is a little bowed but still works great. Interior The carpet is new, Seat is newly reupholstered The entire cab is covered in Dyna-mat, and the inside of the doors are too. The cab floor, roof, firewall, and behind the gas tank are all done to make a very quite ride. Very little road noise in this old beauty. Aluminum center console that I built and tig welded to hold 2 power outlets and the MTX Speakers. CD player is mounted in the glove box with an ipod adapter. Sill plates were custom made by me. It is aluminum that I cut bent and tig welded together to make an outstanding sill plate that these pickups never had. All the Glass is in good shape, nothing has a crack and the front window is very clear to see out of and the side glass is new. The windows roll up and down with ease I have made sure to get the windows working great. The doors open and close very nice and are tight. The pickup drives outstanding down the road any any speed, from 0-100, I did have to make sure that it would go fast and handle well. I was surprised but it did very well. Cornering is outstanding, an upgrade that could be done would be a power steering box from a Toyota, I have the pump and brackets that bolt onto the motor, you would just need to get the steering box and have lines built. I never did it because it steers great. Other Info I have the Original gauges working with the late model motor. At 70 Mph the pickup is cruising at 2000 rpm. The 4 speed transmission gives the pickup great response but also a cruising gear. I built this pickup a couple years ago and last winter I pulled it into the shop and gave it a lot of attention and new parts. If I listed that the parts above were new then they have been put on within the last 4k miles. This thing is almost brand new running gear and has the PATINA look everyone wants. I drove the pickup from Idaho all the way to Las Vegas for VIVA in April and had a wonderful time with no problems. I averaged 17 mpg and got as high as 21 and low as 14 depending on where we were driving. I am sure that I am forgetting something but if you have questions please contact me and I will do the best I can to answer. I have tried to list as much as I can to be honest about what you are getting. thank you e-mail me and I can give you my phone # to contact me for better communication. On May-18-11 at 09:35:47 PDT, seller added the following information: The three pieces of pinstriping were done by JR Huff (Bo Huff's son). Great looking and done by one of the best in the industry. The hood and the both sides on the B pillars. The bumper and the grille have both been repainted the original Ivory white with PPG paint. Extremely straight grille and bumper.
