Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE For Sale 1954 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup I purchased the pickup truck approximately 5 months ago from my grandmother’s neighbor in Orland, California. This truck was purchased in the condition that you see in the photos minus the primer paint and the wood in bed. Due to emergency financial restraints I am unable to complete this project. What I know about the truck is minimal! The truck has been sitting since 2005. Prior to being parked it was a daily driver until the engine went bad. Engine: The seller provided me with a different small block Chevy 400 engine that appears to be in very good condition, the engine is 95% complete but will need a good cleaning and painting, this engine is optional for the winner at no extra charge. Transmission: The truck has a 400 turbo transmission that was installed prior to my purchase of the vehicle, the seller advised me that this transmission is in good working order, I also checked the transmission and appears to be in working order. Frame: The gentleman that I purchased the truck from informed me that he had upgraded the frame from a 1954 Chevrolet pickup truck frame to a 1974 Chevrolet Nova frame. Transfer of frame appears to have been done correctly because it was driven for 10 years after the frame was redone. I have attached photos of the underside of the vehicle for viewing. Brakes: The truck has disc brakes all the way around that are all fully functional and just need some cleaning. Body: The body of the truck appears to not have ever been in any major collisions. There is no major damage. However there are minor dings and dents. Prior to sanding and painting the truck primer, I observed zero body rust and truck is completely solid. Surprisingly it had little surface rust. This truck does include the rare 5th wheel kit. The primer that is sprayed on the truck was originally intended for a short period of time until I was able to complete the body work and paint, so the truck will need to be re primed or painted or ride as is. Cab: Interior of vehicle looks to be in great condition with no dents in dash board. Floors are solid with no rust/pin holes or cancer. Truck has a tilt steering column and wheel, however the column seems loose at the wheel and needs tightening but is functional. Steering column and wheel worked just fine to move the truck on and off the trailer and in and out of the garage. Vehicle does have a complete wiring harness that is intact but has not been tested due to engine not being installed the wiring is ran from inside of cab to the engine compartment but not connected to engine. Last known in 2005 all components such as frame, brakes, wiring and the entire truck in general were in working order. Please observe the photos closely. There are a large number of photos so that it is very clear that what you see is what you get. My plans for this vehicle was to re place the front windshield and install the engine, register and drive it. Have clean title in hand.
