Past History: Originally sold new at Royal Pontiac in North Hollywood, California. Purchased new by Richard Carrisosa, a postal worker. Keeping it bone stock as it was just a driver. In earlier 1997, Richard was already retired and decided to sell the Firebird as it was no longer needed. He advertised it in the Recycler newspaper (free classified). It was then sold to Brian Walsh, a local from south of Los Angeles. He brought it home and parked it in the garage. He rebuilt the motor & serviced the transmission at 86,893. In 1998, it was parked and he went off to College. Never got around to it & became "one of these days" kind of story. Onlookers drove by leaving handwritten notes on the front windshield & always knocking on the front door asking if it was for sale. Same answer for over 13 years "Not For Sale". Since 1998, the second owner has only driven this Firebird 56 miles in total. Reality kicked in recently and sad to say, the 2nd owner decided to give it up. A Very Rare Chance to Became the Third Registered Owner - A True 67' Firebird 400 Being Auctioned At 5 Days With No Reserve _____________________________________________________ This is an original 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400 Number's Matching. PHS documented confirming this is a factory & has the original 400 as well as "3F" on the cowl tag. Factory options include Air Condition, 3 speed automatic tranny, console, power steering, power brakes, wire wheel covers, tinted windshield glass & Red Wide Oval tires. Rare Color Combination Montreux Blue exterior with Blue Custom Deluxe interior. Blue on Blue combination doesn't get any better then that with the Redlines/Red 400 emblems. A rare California find that was found sitting since 1998. Sold & lived it's entire life in Los Angeles, California. Still remains it's original Born with Black & Yellow plates "VRL 412". A Beautiful example of a original California body. Original panels & floors. Solid floors & frame structure. Trunk compartment remains the factory GM spatter paint but does have the common surface rust from the rubber mat. Repainted once somewhere in the 80's, still in the jambs & engine comparment remains most of whats left of the original paint. You can see the original Blue pulling out of the repaint here & there. The interior is all original. Never been restored inside and mostly complete. The stock steering wheel, am radio, door panels, carpert, etc. The headliner is falling apart. The original 400 "YT" still remains with the 3 speed automatic transmission. Very stock under the hood with the chrome valve covers. The engine was rebuilt only be driven with less then 70 miles on it, back in 1998. Running, driving & brakes. It does have the smog emissions in the box but missing the factory Air compressor. Has a brand new set of Firestone 14' White walls with less then 10 miles on them. The front shocks were replaced as well as the bushings in 2000. Miles show 86K, since the 2nd owner has had it , he barley put 100 miles on it. Im assume the miles are original. Overall, this is a original unrestored & complete California 1967 Firebird 400. Can be driven around in this condtion as it grabs plenty of attention as it looks like a fresh find. Its a Firebird that will need to be restored and is being sold as a California project. As you can see in the photos, does have some minor surface rust & bubbles. I have set my auction at a very Rare 5 Days with No Reserve setting. Meaning In 5 Days, highest Bid wins it.
