Vehicle Detail
If you're reading this you certainly know what a Zagato is... This one is a sweetheart with an exceptional body and interior - the two toughest things to find on a Zagato! There really is essentially zero rust, and the paint is in great condition. The dark brown and red interior makes for a beautiful color combination. Absolutely no rips or cracks in the seating - perfect condition! As an awesome bonus, the convertible top and targa roof have been redone in Hartz canvas and both are in fantastic shape -- so much better than the crappy vinyl. The original Cromodora wheels are in nice shape, and the spare is in the trunk. The tires are good quality, but older. The fuel injected Fiat 2000 motor is strong and is not sprouting leaks, and the car starts and drives very well. Brand new 425 cca battery. The AC could use a recharge, or pull it out and free up space and make life a little less complicated. I have a few spare parts that can be included at the right price, including an impossible to get FI intake and a new center console (original one a little cracked from the old radio install.) I have always garaged the car and it shows. Also have the Haynes manual, a few magazine clips and a copy of Sports & Exotics with stories about the Zagato. All things considered, this an excellent Zagato that can easily be a daily driver. For next to zilch you get one of the most interesting Italian cars of the 1970s-80s, and a perfect little 2+2 roadster for road trips to wine country and Big Sur. BTW - yes this is a relisting from a few months back. Francisco Miguelez (spanalfa) elected to not pay on the closed deal after wasting two months of my time and storing the car in my garage. Needless to say, if you're going to bid on cars, make sure you're an adult.... Thanks. On May-20-11 at 20:29:41 PDT, seller added the following information: The car does have a few I believe minor electrical gremlins which again, if you know a Zagato, are pretty much par for the course: the windshield wipers are non-op right now (fuse?) and if I recall one of the rear turnsignal bulbs is out or is shorting. I believe one of the plastic fuse panel lids is missing as the panel is out in the open, and I know you can find for cheap and may help these problems enormously. Or it's entirely possible Lancia designed a fuse block with absolutely no weather protection at all - that would surprise no one.... On May-22-11 at 06:37:12 PDT, seller added the following information: As a note: I now have to be out of town until June 4, so I'll help arrange final payment, and pickup or transport of the car for the buyer after then. Thanks.
