Vehicle Detail
1970 Plymouth GTX. Eb5 bright blue metallic with white vinyl top. High performance 375 HP 440 with 18 spine Hemi manual four speed transmission that was rebuilt two years ago. Power steering, power brakes, bucket seats, console, tic toc tach, light package with hood mounted turn signals and the famous pistol grip shifter. This car is correct and just the way you would have seen it in 1970. The interior has been totally replaced and looks amazing. All trim pieces were removed and painted. To get a good paint job on the dash the front windshield was removed. No expense was spared on the interior with receipts to prove it. The headliner, seat covers, door panels, seat belts, carpet and package tray are new. The instrument cluster was also removed, cleaned and new lenses were placed on the gauges. The stock am radio has been refurbished with fm and has an ipod input while retaining the stock appearance. The Gtx is very clean and very straight. It is not a concourse show car, but It is in amazing shape and you would have no problem entering it in any show or just having a blast cruising. The engine was rebuilt in 1982 and runs strong with no smoke. The car has less than 9,000 miles on it since the rebuild in 1982. The total mileage on the car is 96,600 miles. The car was repainted in 1985 in its original color and all the stripes remain true to its original condition. There is one place on the passenger upper quarter that looks like they did not sand it good enough before the repaint, you can see some checking under the paint in this small area. You have to look hard to find it, but I like to include as much info as possible. There is a picture where you can see this below. There is substantial documentation that comes with car dating back to 1980. The 440 is correct for the car but from what I can tell it a 68 model 440. The casting on the upper pad reads: D440 8-18 HP. It is an amazing car that gets a lot of attention at car shows or where ever it goes. It is an investment that will do nothing but appreciate in value and it is fun to drive. You won’t be disappointed! I have the car listed locally and reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
