Vehicle Detail
Barn Find in Storage unit for 26 years. 1971 Chevy Camaro Factory 4 Speed yellow/black in great shape. Please Call ...8O16471O12.... for more pics as I have over 40 to email so send emailaddress and I'll send all the pics. Vynal top is 99% perfect with no tears/cracks/holes etc. and original. 3 of the 4 tires are still holding air. Original wheels with chrome rings (have 3 rings). Interior in great shape (besides the fronts of the bucket seats and the dash pad). Miles say over 32K but probably is really 132K because there are only 5 digits for odometer on these older cars. Has original engine 8 cylinder 307 (so the sticker says on the chrome air cleaner) even though the liscense plates say RSR 327 I dont believe it is a 327. Had a key made for the ignition but not the trunk. I've had the car a couple years and haven't ever checked the trunk because haven't had a key made. Dont know what surprises are in there. I dont know the story but it looks like the owner was going to put in new motor mounts when he put it into storage because he pulled the motor mount bolts and has a block there to hold it. I have not even turned over the motor so I'm not going to say it runs/drives. I was waiting til I got around to fixing it up but that is looking less and less likely with my 4 busy kids and business ventures so I'm making room in my shop and selling a few projects. I do have the car for sale locally but am really looking locally for a trade at a higher price for ??? whatever may be worth a little more if I had to turn around and resell it so if that happens locally I reserve the right to end the auction early if necessary if the deal is right. Anytime you are welcome to come view the car or inspect it just let me know when at 8O16471O12 to arrange appointment. Car has a little rust on the usual spots but is really in great shape for its age. Looks to be original paint etc. (there is a little yellow overspray under the front bumper on lower valence as if they painted something at some point in the past but certainly not the entirety of the car. There is a little ding in the center of hood simple fix...and a couple little dents on rear quarter by taillight as seen in pics but coule literally freshen up motor, recover front seats/dash/ and probably have it on the road in a weekend. Hate to see it go but reality is I chose to have 4 kids (my wife keeps reminding me) and its time to spend time with them and not the cars as they are all under 10 so not too into cars yet. Car is sold as is where is with no warranties etc.. I have a stack of paperwork from 1985/6 including registrations etc. They didn't have the title but had a police officer do a vin inspection and verified that it was clear and with no issues. (which I will guarantee no problem) so just has bill of sale. Have had some good local offers but figured I would see what ebay may bring. Feel free to call with any ???'s as I may have left something out Thx 8O16471O12 I work for Prostar Logistics in Salt lake City so I do have access to get quotes for transport but it costs a little more to ship a non running car so feel free to call for a quote or email for a quote. A quick guide is about $500 within 500 miles and double that towards east and maybe a little more to remote areas and right inbetween to west coast. As I mentioned I love to trade so I have it listed locally for trade. To be clear, All I have done to this car since coming out of 26 years of storage is wash and wax and vacuum. Have not even turned over engine to try and start just turned pulley a little to make sure not froze up. (if I were buying it after 26 years of sitting I would want to do it properly and put in oil in the cylinders etc. so as not to do any damage so I have left that to the buyer) It is a pretty exciting fun car that is a very easy restoration project. If my kid was closer to 16....darnit.On May-17-11 at 19:06:02 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention I have had a couple of bad experiences with bidders with little positive feedback. If you dont have at least 20 positive feedback please contact me prior to end of auction to let me know you are serious. I reserve the right to cancel bids with under 20 feedback if I am not comfortable. Please contact me with your information at 8016471O12 etc. as it would make me feel better about you as a bidder. it costs too much to list and sell only to have a non serious buyer. Thx
