Vehicle Detail
1973 Ford Gran Torino Sport, 429 C.I. 4bbl. C-6 Auto. P.S. P.B. 84,000 miles. Great condition, still paint on undercarrige. Seats are all there, carpet is good. Headliner has small tear in back right corner. One seam in liner has come apart, (needs stitched). Interior is blue with the exception of seat backs(brown), and has 1 crack in dash. Full mechanical gauges including Tach. Crank windows and manual seats. Everthing works except clock and reverse lights. Floorboards and trunk all intact. I bought it in 2005 and up until last winter was garaged in bad wether. We have moved and built a house and do not yet have a garage, so I do not want to just leave it sit. I have never driven it in the snow. The quarters are starting to come through, as is one door. It had some body damage at one time and it is comming through as well.(Right side behind back window looks like someone backed into it with a truck. Dented) It has a aftermarket steering wheel(I didn't do it). Someone had tried to convert it to a floor shift with an old mustang shifter and did a really bad job. It has Cragar SS all the way around, 4000 miles on RWL tires, B & M valve body shift kit and Star Shifter. Spring assisted front shocks, I have Hi Jackers for rear but not on vehicle. I also have window anti-rattler moulding but not installed. I really don't want to sell but I can't see it going bad. Fastest car I have ever owned. Looks like original Ploy-Glass radial spare with air in it, jack, sticker for jacking instructions. Original owners manual, Chiltons manual and Ford parts lists on CD. Get this, Craig sound system, AM/FM casette, EQ and 4 spearers, sounds great. As for mileage, if ya keep your foot out of it about 10-12 mpg .****Update*** Just rolled over to 85000 miles, I will include the old style underdash add on air unit that was on when I bought it. Just as a note, this is a driver, you can drive it anywhere. Take into consideration when figuring out the pick up. I have driven it 350 miles one way on two different occasions with no issues. Uses a little oil due to valve stem seals, but that is mostly an in traffic issue. Brakes are fine, front end has been fully inspected, and nothing leaks so it's good to go. Thanks
