Vehicle Detail
I am selling this super cool, one off, gasser style coupe - again! Yes, you may have seen it before because I've had more than one person commit and then weren't able to come up with the cash. After each of my previous attempts to sell this car, I was frustrated and motivated. I would work on it more and buy more stuff for it, but I just don't have the time to finish it and it takes up alot of space in my garage. So please, don't bid unless you are serious and have the know-how and means to complete a project like this. It does NOT come with an engine or a transmission. I have a clear minnesota title in my name. The car body is very solid, it does NOT need the floor replaced. The trunk floor is pitted and there are some very small holes in it, but again, it does NOT need replacement. The doors are exceptional, they open and close great, I have the stock handles, they are SOLID everywhere. I don't have the window mechansims, or any glass for that matter (a full glass kit is about $300). I have a very nice windshield frame, no other window mouldings. I have all the sheet metal, fenders, hood, etc. etc. and it is all very nice. You will not be dissapointed in the body of this car. The frame is heavily modified for the new suspension, but was, and is completely solid. It has a new speedway disc brake axle up front and a narrowed ford 8.8 3:73 posi out back. The rear suspension is late 60's/early 70's chevy truck "copy". It has new QA1 coilovers and a speedway panhard bar. The heim joints at the front of the trailing arms are 3/4 inch and the plates that attach to the axle housing are 1/4 inch thick. It is overbuilt to say the least, and adjustable. I installed solid chevy 350 engine and trans mounts, and there is a mid-plate installed as well. There is some welding left to do on the mounts. The steering is done and uses the stock box which I totally disassembled and cleaned/greased. Front shock mounts are in. The car is setup for a manual transmission, I have a new hydraulic pedal assembly and clutch slave cylinder with braided hose kit($300+). The mount for the pedal assembly is in. I made seat mounts for the new EMPI brand baja low-back suspension seats. Here are the other new parts: Aluminum radiator, plasitc fuel cell with sending unit, 1950 pontiac taillights, seats, speedway SBC fat fendered headers, all brake components (except rear calipers are used),aluminum diff cover, front shocks. I also have eblems, and the grill center strip has been added. I have 1937 Minnesota license plates that are registered to this car if the buyer is from here. This is a project, but the hard work has been done. Please ask questions and be serious about your bids. This auction could end early for any reason. I would like a $1000 deposit at the end of the auction - communication is key. The seat in the one picture is not the new one(s), look up EMPI low back race trim baja seat, mine are all black.
