Vehicle Detail

1969 Chevelle Super Sport (undocumented) Vin 136379A355606 Odometer reads 61,500 miles but is not verified or documented Clear Florida Title in hand Note added Wednesday 5/11: The Holley double pumper 850 CFM carb has been nothing but trouble since I had it installed. I wish I had gone with a simpler and less expensive Eldebrock. If the buyer wants I can have the carb replaced with a new Eldebrock or can work an exchange if the buyer has his own carb he wants to install. I have a Rochester 4bbl on my 82 Avanti and it has never been a problem, this was the last Holley carb I will buy.:) An immediate PayPal deposit of $500 is required upon end of the auction. Balance due within five days of end of auction by cashiers check or wire transfer. The car and title will not be released until funds have cleared. If paying with a cashiers check the check must clear before the title will be released. A wire transfer is preferred and can be accomplished the same day the title and car are picked up.You are bidding to own the car not to inspect it, however any buyer that is not 100% satisfied with their purchase when they come to pick up the car will have their deposit refunded less $150 for my time, trouble and ebay expense. The photos of the bottom of the car show the hooker headers that have now been removed, they also do not show the new resonators that have been installed. The car drives smoothly with no squeaks or rattles, none! The brakes are powerful and smooth, 2nd and 3rd gear will wind till next week and at 60 mph you can drop the hammer in 4th gear to pass and she takes off like a scalded dog. This car will easily bury the speedometer. Around town she has a deep exhaust note and you can listen to the beautiful sound of the muncie wind up as you shift thru the gears. The power steering is super nice and is very tight, steering response is instantaneous with ZERO play. I believe this car to be an original SS but have no build sheet or documents to positively identify it as such. The car has the original CF 12 bolt positraction rear axle dated June 1969, the car was built the first week of August 1969. It has the original big block fuel lines, the original power brake booster that came with the car was the correct SS type. The original steering column was removed at some point and replaced with a tilt/power steering. The dash is original to the car but side panels are new replacements. This was an original green bench seat car, the car was repainted Daytona yellow. The excellent Muncie M20 4-speed is out of a 1970 Pontiac. It appears the car was a bench seat three speed car. There is no evidence that any malibu emblems have ever been on the car. We removed and checked the mounting holes for the rear SS emblem and the holes are stamped not drilled. I bought the car from a Dealer a year ago for $23,500 (see photo of bill of sale), the car had a good engine and transmission but a lot of mechanical problems, bad fuel pump, shocks, distributor, leaking valve covers, U-joint, radio did not work, carb needed overhaul and had no choke, needed brakes, etc (see some of the invoices). The horn (not connected) and windshield washer (bad pump) still do not work but wipers work perfectly as do lights, brake lights and turn signals. The car came with Hooker headers which I removed and replaced with original stock exhaust headers from a 68 SS 396 and added resonators. The mufflers, resonators and tailpipes are all new. This car will win trophies at local shows and is fun too drive and a car you will be proud to own. I am buying another aircraft and a Mustang and need to sell this car. Car was restored a couple of years ago exact date unknown. Paint job is professional and is very nice but not perfect.. Interior and carpet are new and all glass and chrome are excellent. Power steering, tilt wheel and power front disc brakes and factory shoulder harness. Over $10,000 spent the last 12 months in repairs and upgrades. This is a beautiful dependable cruiser that has won a roomful of trophies this past year. The car is smooth as silk at 65 mph on the road and I have driven it 3,500 miles this past year with several four and six hour round trips to Alabama and Georgia car shows. I have nearly $35,000 invested in the car, all mechanical issues have been addressed and you can now buy and drive it with confidence, you simply will not find a better Chevelle in this price range that you can get in and for real drive it home. The new Richmond 308 gears make it a pleasure to drive at highway speeds and deliver much improved gas mileage. The car turns about 2,700 rpm at 60 mph. * Engine - Newer 454 CI engine with mild cam that runs on 93 octane pump gas. Stampings on the head are Pass X, 336781, GM12T, K21-77. K21-77 - Is Nov 21st 1977, 73-85...oval...OPEN...454, 118cc chamber, 256/114cc ports. Popular Large Oval Port Performance Head for 427 and 454 MK IV's with Static Compression between 9 to 11:1 (Pending Piston Dome Volume) and good for 6500+rpm on pump gas. * Very smooth trouble free engine that does not smoke, uses no oil. 850 CFM Holley double pumper Carb rebuilt in 2010, has electric Choke (needs professional tuning). Electronic ignition with new distributor and plug wires in 2010. New fuel pump in 2010. New chrome valve covers installed in 2010. * Stock exhaust manifolds with new mufflers, pipes and resonators. * 12 bolt posi-traction rear axle with new Richmond 308.1 gears. New U-Joint installed in 2010. New rear lower control arms in 2010. Four new OEM monroe shocks installed. * 15 inch Super Sport wheels with new white letter tires. Fresh tire balance and wheel alignment * Muncie M-20 4-speed transmission that is in excellent condition and shifts smoothly. * Brand new front power disc brake system installed in 2010 and rear power drum brakes were rebuilt. All brand new brake lines installed. * New heavy duty Bosch battery installed in 2010. New LED tail lights installed in 2010 * New AutoSound stereo radio installed with new JBL speakers in 2010, has USB connection. *We removed the seats and carpet cleaned, primed and painted the floor pans before installing the dynamat. There are no repairs to the floors and they are rust free. Please make every effort to come and inspect the car before bidding. I have represented the car to the best of my ability and the car is sold as is with no warranty. I simply don't believe you will find another Chevelle any where near as nice as this car for the price.
