1976 DATSUN 280Z COUPE THIS WILL MAKE SOMEONE AN EZ RESTORATION PROJECT OR JUST A FUN TOY! IT WAS OWNED BY A COLLECTOR & HAS BEEN IN STORAGE FOR SOME TIME. IT IS NOT A DAILY DRIVER YET, BUT SHOULD NOT TAKE MUCH TO MAKE IT ONE. OVERALL A NICE & CLEAN CAR FOR IT'S AGE. MECHANICALLY ACTUALLY IN GOOD SHAPE. I'M SURE IT WOULDN'T HURT TO RUN SOME FRESH GAS THROUGH IT, IT'S A LITTLE COLD BLOODED & IDLES A LITTLE ROUGH, BUT THE LITTLE 6 CYLINDER ENGINE ACTUALLY RUNS GREAT! WHEN SHE REVS UP IT IS SMOOTH & PEPPY! THE 4 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION SHIFTS GREAT TOO. SMOOTH & SOLID! GOOD CLUTCH! FRONT END, GRILLS, FRONT BUMPER, ETC. ARE ALL VERY NICE! STRAIGHT & CLEAN! THE PAINT JOB IS SHOWING IT'S AGE WITH CHIPS & BLEMS ALL OVER!! I THINK IT ACTUALLY WOULD LOOK FINE FOR A DAILY DRIVER. BUT YOU WILL WANT TO REPAINT IT IF YOU WISH TO RESTORE OR SHOW IT! IT HAS SOME RUST PROBLEMS THAT WILL NEED TO BE CORRECTED BEFORE YOU PAINT IT. HERE THEY ARE IN ORDER OF NEED IN MY OPINION: #1. IT HAS SEVERAL AREAS ON THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT FLOOR BOARDS THAT WILL NEED TO BE REPAIRED. MAINLY 2 AREAS ON THE DRIVERS FLOOR. BUT ALSO A COUPLE SMALL SPOTS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. #2. THE PASSENGER SIDE OUTSIDE DOOR SKIN HAS SOME RUST THAT WILL EITHER NEED TO BE TREATED & REPAIRED, OR WE HAVE LOCATED A SOLID DOOR SHELL THAT IS EVEN THE SAME COLOR & IS COMPLETELY SOLID FOR ONLY $60. #3. THE BOTTOM OF THE REAR HATCH HAS THE TYPICAL RUST THAT WILL NEED TO BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED. THE PARTS CAR THAT THE DOOR IS FROM ALSO HAS SOME RUST IN THIS LOCATION, BUT IS IN MUCH BETTER CONDITION & THE HATCH IS ALSO $60, IF THE BUYER WOULD LIKE US TO GET THAT FOR THEM AS WELL. THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR QUARTER NEEDS SOME ATTENTION BEFORE TOO LONG AT THE VERY BOTTOM BEHIND THE REAR WHEEL. OTHERWISE, IT HAS JUST MISC AREAS WHERE THE RUST IS STARTING HERE & THERE. AND THE REST OF THE GOOD NEWS IS... EVEN THOUGH IT HAS THE VARIOUS AREAS THAT NEED ATTENTION, OVERALL THE CAR IS ACTUALLY VERY SOLID. THE ROCKERS ARE NICE AND SOLID. THE FRONT FENDERS LOOK GOOD. THE REAR SPARE WHEEL AREA & FLOOR BOARD ARE GOOD. THE DRIVER'S DOOR IS GOOD. THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR QUARTER IS GOOD. AND THE TOP & THE HOOD ARE ALSO IN NICE SOLID CONDITION AS WELL. OTHERWISE, HERE ARE THE PARTICULARS: VIN: HLS30-299081 ODOMETER READING: 68816 WE DO NOT GET SECURE ODOMETER STATEMENTS ON CARS OLDER THAN 10 YEARS, SO LIKE ALL OF OUR VEHICLES 10 YEARS & OLDER IT IS BEING SOLD AS:MILES EXEMPT. IMPORTANT TITLE INFO: The title we have for it is a "Lien Sale" title & it will come with a Bill of Sale as well. NICE SET OF AFTERMARKET "BLACK MESH" STYLE WHEELS WITH A GREAT SET OF RADIAL TIRES. THEY ALL HAVE AT LEAST 70-80% TREADLIFE REMAINING. INTERIOR: DASH & GAUGES ARE IN VERY NICE SHAPE FOR IT'S AGE. OVERALL CLEAN & ORIGINAL. AND GAUGES ALL APPEAR TO BE WORKING NICELY. THE IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER (W/ KEY) NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THESE SEEM TO BE READILY AVAILABLE ON EBAY FOR ABOUT $40. THE FRONT SEATS HAVE A SOME SPOTS, MAINLY ON THE BOTTOM CUSHION OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT THAT NEED SOME UPHOLSTERY WORK, BUT OVERALL THE BUCKETS ARE IN NICE SHAPE! CARPETING JUST NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. WE CAN HAVE THIS PROFESSIONALLY DONE FOR THE BUYER AT OUR WHOLESALE COST. REAR PANELS OVERALL LOOK VERY GOOD & WILL BE EZ TO CLEAN UP! HEADLINER & VISORS ARE LOOK GOOD AS WELL. THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR PANEL LOOKS TO BE IN NICE SHAPE! THE PASSENGER SIDE LOOKS GOOD AS WELL. VIEW OF THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT. VIEW OF THE REAR.
