1982 Honda GL500

You are looking at a rare 1982 Honda GL500 Silverwing. I have owned 4 of these bikes and love them. I have now moved up to a Honda Shadow 1100. This bike has a windshield, saddlebags and a Goldwing seat that has been modified to this bike. It is a very comfortable, small cruiser, 55 mph. I used it as a cruiser and a commuter. Put the majority of the mileage on in 2 years. Doesn't use any oil and always runs, almost maintenance free. Driveshaft, air suspension, radiator, just like a mini Goldwing. Excellent condition with a few minor flaws. First the good stuff. Rear tire brand new, front tire is good. Saddlebags, windshield that actually protect your hands, cupholder, 12 volt plug for cellphone or what have you. Replaced the seat with a 82 Goldwing version, more comfortable. Sissy bar with back rest. Bad stuff; Reason I am selling is a driveshaft noise that just started and I don't have the time anymore. Can't tell you much more than that other than metal to metal noise as soon as it moves. Both front turn signals are broke and the right one needs replacement, left is still serviceable. Slight puncture mark in seat upholstery, sealed with shoe goo, great stuff. Parts are still readily available on ebay. Price of a driveshaft ranges from 15.00 to 50.00. Many of these bikes being parted out on ebay. I have put well over 150,000 miles on these bikes ove the past 5-6 years and I will say that they are great bikes, very little maintenance. I hope I have the same luck with the Shadow.
