I have an all original 1965 Mercury Comet Cyclone 2 door hardtop for sale. It has a 289 engine with 225 horsepower, p/s, p/brakes, bucket seats and it runs and drives great. We are the second owners and have had the car for nearly 25 years. We have had the engine rebuilt and balanced at a local machine shop, the transmission was rebuilt as well with a new torque converter, the interior was replaced to match the OEM specs, the car looks nice but the right side door is starting to blister at the bottom where my Aunt had her accident nearly 40 years ago. There is only bondo on the right side lower door and the lower quarter fender from her accident, other than that it is virtually rust free and a very solid car. We have been buying seals for the windshield and back windows and the doors are needing seals next. We had the bumpers re chromed along with several other parts. This is a rare beauty and it's value is much higher than the selling price i hope to get. I can also help on the delivery if need be but I have driven the car as far as Buffalo New York with no problems at all. The tires are about 80 percent tread left, the brakes were replaced with new drums about three years ago as well. Good Luck and ask any questions you may have...... Thank-you, John and Teresa
