OWN A CLASSIC HEAD-TURNER! This is a great example of the Mercedes-Benz 560SL! I have owned this car since the fall of 2009, and it would be my daily driver if it weren't for the fact that I do not like to drive it in inclement weather (rain, snow, etc). I have put about 3000 miles on it since I purchased it, it would have been more, but I am in the military and am often gone. I love this car, the only reason I am selling this vehicle is because of a move overseas for the military. This car has been garage-kept, however there are a few minor cosmetic defects, but I have not found any rust. The car runs great, and is very happy at high speeds on the highway! I had the timing chain and guides replaced at about 97000 miles, which is typical for this model. As far as issues with the car go there are very few. Upcoming maintenance that is needed is the following: Brake pad replacement, oil change, and a shifter bushing replacement. Obviously nothing too major, and the reason they have not been completed is due to my military deployment schedule. Any mechanic could complete this at a reasonable price. The previous owner made a couple of modifications, however I have all the original parts. These are the modifications/options: Replaced radio head unit. Original Becker in my possession and included in the sale. European-spec headlights. I have originals in my possession and included in the sale. Removable wind-breaker screen. It is a small, fold-up screen that is placed above the parcel shelf and makes the cabin less windy with the top down. Mainly useful if you have a passenger that doesn't like to have their hair messed up! It is easily removed. The car starts up nicely and idles smooth. The engine runs a bit on the cold side, but this would only be a problem if you tend to drive in cold climate conditions a lot. Acceleration is great and it is dangerous how fast this car wants to go! The A/C was recharged last summer, but I do not use it that often as I prefer to drive with the top down... The tires are in great condition, they have approximately 20,000miles left on them. A couple of the rims are a bit soiled/stained, the previous owner did not know where it came from, however they are structurally sound. The soft top was replaced about 5 years ago, but it is somewhat soiled from spending a lot of time in the bin. It does, however, do it's job when needed! The hard top is in great condition, as it has rarely been used! Since I bought the car it has been on its stand under a cover in the garage. In addition to the stand I have a pulley device for the hard top. The upholstery is in good condition, much better than one would expect from a car this age. The carpets are very clean and in great condition. I have maintenance records from myself and the previous owner, as well as the original owner's manual. I have several sets of original keys (master and valet). I have tried to capture as much of the vehicle as possible in pictures. As I stated above, I am only selling it due to a move overseas for the military. I could store it, but it is a car that needs to be driven regularly and I am hoping to find it a good home!
