I've owned this Maxima for a little over two years now. It's been a great car for me as I have a 30 minute commute to work. I've had two mechanics tell me that the engine in these Maximas are bullet proof. I'm the third owner of the vehicle. The first owner did not take good care of the vehicle cosmetically, so you'll notice the paint has scratches, small chips from rocks and in some small areas minor oxidation. The interior was not cared for either and you'll see from the photos that the leather interior has some rips and tears (not terrible). I have seat covers on the front two seats. The antenna is gone, but I still get radio. CD and tape players are broken and I'd just suggest buying a new deck altogether. There is a crack in the windshield that's almost completely out of driver view, but it's there nonetheless. The car does have a sunroof, but it does not open. You can open the inside slider to see out, but the glass does not open. Ok, enough of the bad stuff! The AC works great. The car starts right up. All the automatic windows work... the door locks work outside of the passenger front which has to be unlocked with the key (motor got tired I guess). All four tires are in decent condition, same with the brakes. The car in general is mechanically strong and drives very well. I've had very few problems in the two years I've had it. I've replaced the radiator, starter, fixed some oil leaks. Changed the oil regularly. Again, this has been a great car. If you're looking for something that gets decent gas mileage, but still has some passing power, at an affordable price, this is the car for you.
