1973 Chrysler Town & Country Wagon. This was the top of the line back in the day and as expensive as a Cadillac - over $6500 new. This car is fully optioned with many extras. Power steering, brakes , tilt telescoping steering wheel - very comfortable and a smooth highway cruiser - needs only minor body work and woody sides decal. I would not hesitate to take on a trip across town or across the state. Smooth and powerful 440 Cu Inch engine ( last year of the heavy webbing high nickel content RB blocks), TorqueFlight 3 speed Automatic, Power windows all around and locks, working A/C and Cruise control. A/C updated to R134. Adjustable rear air shocks - good tires - reliable - with excellent brakes all around. I puchased this car while remodelling my home about 11 years ago with 48000 miles - original - and have been using it as my weekend/home depot car - pulls strong and would make an excellent tow vehichle or just buy it for the engine and tranny to make your own hot rod or restore - it is all there. These old 70's woodys are making a strong comeback and are appreciating in value - have seen several in the $10,000 to 15,000 (71,72,73,74 town and countrys) and have thought about restoration since 3M re-issued the original rosewood DiNox material for the decals last year but too many projects started prevents starting a new one...... This one is priced to go for value of the engine and tranny and odd trim parts alone - need to thin my heard - or get a new wife - I figured selling moby dick was cheaper!
