Vehicle Detail
1969 Camaro Lemans Blue -- NO TRADES PLEASE -- VIN# 124379N521804 Intro: - I bought this car a few years ago with plans to complete a nice restore, having needed bodywork done and a nice professional paint job. - The car is a standard Camaro with Z/28 emblems front and back and on the steering wheel, cowl hood and stripes front and rear. That is the way I bought it, and I the tribute theme looks great. Body: - Color is the factory cowl tag paint color Lemans Blue. The current paint is a bit older and needs to be redone. The body of the car is very solid, and has a handful of spots that are less than dime size, one that is about 1”x 2” and one that is about 3”x 3” that need to be sanded out and body work (i started on these - sanding them out). For the 3”x 4” spot on the bottom of the passenger fender, I have the correct patch panel for the repair area. The bumpers are original and in very nice shape. The outside mirrors are in great shape. - The hood had two dings that I sanded out and filled. The doors, quarter panels, roof, trunk deck lid, valance areas are in great shape. The spoiler has a small crack that can be repaired. All of the lights are in very good shape. Some of the smaller than dime size spots are along the rocker panels where the chrome trim strip go. The original holes where the trim screws to the panel is what had caused the minor rust around the screw holes. All of the glass is in excellent shape. There are no scrapes on any of the glass. - There is no rust that I could find at the front and rear window sills which is typical of these years Camaros. There is new belt trim along the outside window edge of both doors. Interior: - The interior is all black and in about perfect condition. There is the factory wood grain on the dash. All of the seat covers are new from a few years ago. Same for the carpet. - The dash is excellent. The door panels are new and can be enhanced with the chrome trim inserts. I was going to get these if I were to keep the car. The window felts are new. There is an aftermarket radio installed. A driver’s seat track extender was installed so the seat goes back an additional 2 to 3 inches for a taller driver. Engine/Transmission: - The engine is a Chevrolet 350. It runs excellent. Add-ons that I see are Edlebrock intake manifold, valve covers and carburetor. It has an electronic ignition distributor. A new alternator and water pump. The transmission is the Turbo 350 automatic. Chassis: - There is dual exhaust from the headers to tail pipe with magnaflow 40 mufflers. The system is like new condition and sounds awesome. There are traction bars installed. It has positraction rear end - I am not sure what the gear ratio is. - I installed new ball joints, bushings and shocks in the front suspension. It has not been to the shop for an alignment yet. There are air shocks in the rear. The frame is in great shape. It was undercoated years ago and is very clean. It has a fairly new gas tank - All of the brakes have been turned and new shoes installed. It has standard brakes and I have a power brake booster that will be included with the car. Wheels/Tires: The tires are new 235/65-70 Hoosier Radial GT white letter tires. They have maybe 20 miles on them. The rims are 1975-1978 era Corvette aluminum wheels. The wheels are in excellent condition. Other stuff: When the car was new it had a vinyl top. It was removed years ago, but I purchased and will include a new vinyl top material and trim kit. There is one new wheel lip molding for the front right fender. All of the other wheel lip moldings are nice.
