1976 Mercury trail twister. I Bought this unit from a collector that had one of each of the 76 mercs back in 1985.I have pulled it out and rode it a few hours about once every three or four years, I pull off the carbs and clean the main jets and it runs like the day I bought it. While riding it in January the electronic ignition module went out so I bought a new one on ebay and it started on the first pull (after I realized I switched the coil wires..LOL). Lights work fine. Brakes are weak but everything on this machine is stock and in decent shape for its age. It has always been stored inside. It has dual Mikuni carburetors. This machine is very fast. The float and rods fell off the gas cap. It has a spare drive belt and set of plugs on board. Exhaust pipe and muffler are in good shape. This sled has never been wrecked or rolled. The hood has some tiny stress cracking on some of the curves. I never thought I would part with this, but I just do not use it enough, I would rather someone restore and preserve this vintage sled.
