Original 1956 Buick Century 4 door hardtop. I am retiring and do not have the time to take care of this car. I purchased this car about 4 years ago from a guy in Canon City, Colorado. He bought the car from the original owner in Walsenburg, Colorado in an estate . As you can see I have the original title ( open ) and the original invoice from Dec.24, 1955. Appears purchase price was $ 3,974.73 and trade - in 1950 Buick Riv. $ 1,055.73. I was told the car was always kept in a garage , and I have had a heavy duty car cover over it since . The original black paint only needs wax as photo's show, in my opinion the car is all original - paint - interior - carpet, etc. etc. This is how you want to find them ! The person that bought the car in Canon City, Colorado drove it about 50 miles from Walsenburg , I drove the car about 100 miles from Canon City to Bailey , Colorado, approx. 4 years ago. The car runs just fine , noticed when I got it here that brakes a little soft , planed to check them at that time but never did. There are a few flaws with the car, I will try to point out. The arm rests are worn some, and a couple repairs to the seat covers. The grey - blue portion of the paint is faded. There is a dent in the ( wheel well ) passenger side front fender ( not bad ) , should show in photos. There is an emblem on the passenger door - didn't want to take it off 9 appears that it is the initials of the owner . really not a big deal . I just put a new battery in the car. The person that gets this vehicle will be VERY lucky as it is VERY original. Also all the chrome is in VERY good shape . In my opinion this car has never been in an accident, except the lower front fender area dent as mentioned. Milage reads 35,254 , no gaurantee here - but possible. Also in my opinion the condition of the car ( appears ) that it was driven daily for 10 -15 years, then garaged until I got it. It is a great looking car, and I hate to part with it.
