Vehicle Detail
Thank you for stopping by to look at more detail about Harriett. The pictures are a few years old. The car now has smaller fog lights (not wired yet); No longer has the wide white walls; front valance showing more rust than in the pictures. Has a hole under the right turn signal. Always gets looks and comments of appreciation where ever I go. I will try and get more recent pictures but as I am travelling that is very hard to do. 1147cc engine (same as Spitfire). 4 speed manual. 5 passenger (I've had my mother and two daughters in the back seat. More room back there than you would think). Speedometer does not work (but odometer does, very strange. I have replaced the speedometer and still have the same problem so mileage is unknown). MPG is usually between 25 - 32. The original steering wheel shown in the trunk has been mounted and the small wheel shown installed is no longer available. The color is robin egg blue and rust. Car has current Maryland Historis tags (and a UK replica tag with plate number that matches the MD registration). Clear Maryland Title. Car runs and drives fine. I have driven it on the highway (Dulles Toll road, I-95, etc around Baltimore and Washington DC) and she holds her own (after she finally get up to speed). Hoses are new. Heat works well. Hardtop is easily removable. New front struts. New tires. New rocker cover and gasket. New Battery. New door seals. New master and slave clutch cylinders. New brakes all around. Tonneau cover included. Front windscreen leaks. New gasket is included. I would like to keep Harriett but with a new wife and new job responsibilities it's just not the time for a project. Lots of parts available from Rimmer Brothers and Canley Classics in the UK. Vehicle is currently located in central Maryland. Vehicle can be delivered (for gas reimbursement) if you live in the corridor between Baltimore Maryland and Cleveland, MD.On May-09-11 at 14:31:12 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that the vehicle is a numbers matching car. I have the British Heritage Trust Certificate that lists the date the car rolled off the line as well as the colors (she was originally two tone white and light blue), engine number, body number etc. In answer to a couple of questions, the floors are solid with only surface rust that I have seen. The frame was welded in 2009 before being shipped from Scotland in order to pass MOT. The bonnet (hood) is not currently fit correctly and has a bit of rust on it. I had seen a replacement on eBay about a year ago. This does not affect the driving and in fact I have drove her today 100 miles round trip to the office, including highway speeds. In the description above, it should read "Vehicle can be delivered (for gas reimbursement) if you live in the corridor between Baltimore Maryland and Cleveland, Ohio." Also may be able to help with delivery if you live between Maryland and Niagra Falls since I have a trip planned there in the near future. On May-13-11 at 11:37:00 PDT, seller added the following information: New pictures show current condition. Old pictures hid a lot of the rusted areas.
