Vehicle Detail
Highly desirable Super Scout II was heavily modified for successful trip to South America, shipped home from Buenos Aires. This is a unique truck-- but I must stress that it is VERY modified. It has a completely custom electrical system, rear water tank built into right rear quarterpanel, steel locking trunk in back, custom dash, etc. If you are looking for a stock Scout-- THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. Issues:Frame has been repaired in several places, stronger than before. There is a soft top, which is currently a little tight and difficult to button down all the way. One of the soft doors is missing... these are still available.Overall in solid working condition, but needs new clutch. Engine runs well, starts easily. Overhauled about 35k miles ago. main specs:304 V8 w/ ngk plugs and msd wiresprestalite electronic ignitionholley 500cfm 2-barrell w/ electric choket-19 wide ratio 4-speed manual transmission w/ granny geardana 300 transfer casestans headersflowmasters1.5" body lift & 2.5" spring liftrancho rear springs, skyjacker front springsrancho rs9000 shocks w/ dash-mounted front and rear dampening controlsuperwinch front locking hubswarn free-floating rear hubs190 amp alternator33 gallon gas tank4 wheel disc brakes (rear brakes are TSM kit)hydraboost hydraulic braking system w/ equal-part master cylinder & rear brake proportioning valveborgensen steering jointstraight steer frame bracefully adjustable drag linkdual batteries w/ 400-amp starter selector switch & custom voltage-based charge control system (13.6v bridging trigger voltage)custom starting circuit to power starter solenoid and ignition off of active battery15x8" steel rimslocking steel rear hatch over the cargo area w/ gas-charged strutscustom water system15 gallon water tank in right rear quarterpanelgeneral ecology .5 micron water purifier4.5 gpm 12v marine automatic demand water pump keeps water system charged at 50psi when enabled from front dash.camelbak water tube for driver/passenger hydration in roll-bar w/ brass control valve...custom 5-way water manifold to allow filling, emptyingcustom engine-water fed heat exchanger for hot showers on the roadcustom tool box built into rain gutter area in engine compartmentrelocated the spring loaded hood prop from the passenger side to the driver's side, where it belongs!!!warn 9500ti winch-- hardly ever used.d & c extreme front and rear bumpers, rear gate and rock sliders (w/ considerable improvements to the rear gate)custom dash w/ 200amp ammeter, wide range voltmeter, speedo, fuel, tach, water temp, oil, vacuum and rancho control.lightforce driving lightswindshield wiper "quick wipe". this is an additional button on the driving column that i can push to just quickly wipe the window once. its great for those oh-too-often "in between" times when you only need a shot every 30-60 seconds, but you don't want to sit there and destroy your wiper blades the rest of the time on otherwise dry glass. on-board extremeair electric air compressor, pressure regulation system & built in air-tool lubricator. quick-release air ports out the front and back of the car.premier power welder arc welding system (mated with the 190 amp alternator)heavily modified tuffy center console w/ ac power, cig lighter power... as well as:redesigned cup-holders.... of course!powersine pure sine wave 1000W ac inverter w/ multiple ac outlets in center console and near rear seat.JL audio 75x4 ampmemhpis 1000w sub amp2 glassed in 10" JL audio bi-wired subwoofersJBL Power series 6x9 and 6" front separatescustom bimini w/ trampoline fabric for partial sun.... remains on when full top is deployed.3 ferret instruments series 60 led 12v worklights installed under hood, on roll-bar and in trunkOn Apr-18-11 at 20:28:49 PDT, seller added the following information: A few extra details i have neglected to mention:- Speedometer gauge is not functioning correctly. Needs to be replaced. Cable works great, but speedo itself is not.- Also, latch on glove box is broken. It closes, but knob needs replacing.- Parking brake foot pedal sticking, needs to be lubricated. Car is titled, but not currently registered in California-- it has been non-opped, so no fees are owed. However, it would be difficult to smog here. There may be a few ways to deal with that-- up to you to research. Or, it may be destined out of state. Transportation is your responsibility.
