Vehicle Detail
1976 Triumph Spitfire Convertible for sale Selling for a friend. Has been stored indoors since it was parked in 2002. I have not tried to start it. The engine looks very clean, it has been painted out of the car. The car is very solid, with only minor rust in the front floor boards, About an inch or less in diameter, one on each side. See pictures. Other than that, I can not find any rust on this car. The seats and seat belts has been unbolted, so I removed the carpet to take pictures of the floor board. It also comes with a nice hard top with good glass, soft top, roll bar and spare tire cover. Head liner has some tears in it. The body appears to be very "honest" but with some dings and a couple of dents (see pictures) Front bumper is very nice, and the two rear sides are great as well. The rear center section has some prickly chrome, but very serviceable on a driver. Windshield has a crack and a rock chip. The bolts to hold down the hard top are missing. The tires are good. The engine turns over easy with the starter but I did not try to start it as I am sure the carburetor would have to be cleaned before starting. The seats have some tears as per pictures and the driver seat is missing the bottom tracks, but there is a spare set of tracks separately. Also, there is a new repair manual included. Lots of detail pictures HERE: If you are local in Washington state, you are more than welcome to inspect the body during the auction, however, I will not end the auction early, highest bidder will own this body. Comes with a undated WA state title that has been released by the owner. A $100.00 deposit via PayPal within 48 hours of auction close. Balance is due in cash at pick up. Pick up within 7 days of auction close unless other arrangements have been made.On Apr-21-11 at 19:01:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Good news, I just fired the engine. Ran on all four and the tach came to life. It leaked some fuel by the carb but at least we know it will run. Hope that helps.
