This is a rare Buick Special with numbers matching straight 8 engine and drivetrain, unmolested and kept all original including the 6 volt system. I am the 3rd owner of this previous 1960's show car. This car has been gone through mechanicaly with all parts either rebuilt or outright replaced. Pictures have been taken of the work done on the car. The car is very solid 100% complete and ready to drive anywhere. ENGINE NEW engine gaskets, water pump, thermostat, entire exhaust system, heater / radiator hoses, generator brushes, starter brushes, starter switch, spark plugs, points, coil. REBUILT Generator, distributor (including new vac advance), upper/lover valve train, carburetor (with NOS starter switch). A new engine harness has also been built using original connectors and routing. TRANSMISSION / CLUTCH NEW / REBUILT shifter bushings, gaskets, front and rear trans mounts, all bearings inside trans, reconditioned syncro with new thrust washers. Clutch looks very new and works fine the entire linkage system has been reconditioned to new condition. CHASSIS NEW brake master cylinder and all 4 wheel cylinders with new hardware, shoes and drums and brake hoses. Entire e-brake system has been rebuilt and works perfect. New wheel bearings and seals. Axle has been removed, cleaned and inspected. Undercar is either painted gloss black or undercoated. Front and rear "knee action" shocks have been removed, cleaned and filled with correct shock fluid and work great. Front suspension has been cleaned, inspected and is in great shape. Replacement drivers floor board has been installed. NEW CHROME tail lights, wiper towers, trunk emblem, antenna base, headlight surrounds, turn signal housings. A completly NEW ELECTRICAL HARNESS has been built for the car from bumper to bumper at a cost of $1000. This INCLUDES the under dash, dome, engine, rear lights...everything! New wide white Coker tires and new tubes on re-conditioned rims with new trim rings at a cost of $1200. INTERIOR Dash has been removed, stripped, painted and all gauges re-built or calibrated. All switches have been rebuilt also. Both blower motors have been rebuilt. Radio has the $450 FM conversion and uses the stock knobs. New antenna knob, base and mast. New carpet, door panels, Headliner, rebuilt front and rear seats with new foam/cotton batten. New accelerator pedal. All window regulators have been lubed and work fine. WHAT IT NEEDS Paint - It has a original patina look to it, kinda cool though. Only original once! Re-Chrome bumpers - But thats about it. Summary This is a $14,000 dollar car as a show and shine vehicle. It is very close to that minus the paint and bumpers.
