Vehicle Detail
1998 Ford F150 XL 2WD 4.2 liter V-6 5 speed = great fuel economy Kelly Blue Book $1420 My business needs demand an Econoline van, so it's time to say good bye to my dear truck. I've taken good care of this vehicle, oil changes every 3K miles. It has a few small dents and minor issues listed but is still a great work truck with many miles left in it. Starts right up even in sub-zero weather. Burns no oil. ** Four new tires installed at 195730, virtually 99% tread remains. **New exhaust, rear brake cables, rear pads and front calipers, less than 5K on since. **No major rust, a little peeling below the doors, see pictures. **Century fiberglass topper cost $850.00 6 years ago, still like new. Sliding window in both cab and topper. Here's the minor non-working items: Radio doesn't work, sometimes it does but usually not. Tape player DOES work. Instrument control panel light burned out. All other dash lights work. Dome light does not turn on when doors are opened but dome does work manually. Lock on bed topper is broken, I installed a padlock hasp in it's place. Sometimes the hood will not pop open on it's own, but lately it's been working fine. Body, Dents and Rust: Right front hub cap is missing Rear bumper has two dents, one on right side twisted the bumber down a bit. Tail gate is a black replacement (the hinge broke on original) that got the Rust-o-leum treatment by said owner. (OEM paint was $90.00/qt...Rustoleum it is!). Paint does not match but is passable. Tail gate has a small crease on upper right side. Small amount of rust and peeling paint on bottom door edges. Drivers side door lock is a bit stiff to open but does work. Passenger door lock is "fussy", you have to wiggle the key to get it to open. After new rear brake pads were installed about 100 miles ago, rear drums and pads rub a very small bit, may need adjusting the star gear? Doesn't affect driving.
