Vehicle Detail
I am selling a 1984 Chevy Corvette. The reason for selling is because I purchased a newer Corvette ( a '96).I bought this car (the '84) on Ebay in Novermber 2007 for $4550. If you want you can look at the seller's past sales from my feedback and it will show the price I paid. I have put about 7k miles on it since then and it is in basically the same condition as when I bought it. I put a new battery in the car in early 2008 and have changed the oil regularly (4 times I believe.) The car has the 205 horsepower Crossfire engine. The car has always ran fine for me. It has t tops, power windows, and cruise control among other things. The car has a cassette player / radio. The LCD screen works fine and every guage works except the oil pressure knob. Once in a while the right headlight sticks but it goes up after a couple of tries. The car was painted and had new tires put on in 2007. New leather seats were also put in. The tires only have 7k miles on them so thats around 80% tread left I would estimate. The car runs and drives fine. I have never had any mechanical problems. The brakes are starting to get a little soft. It's not really an issue yet but sometimes the first or second time you hit them after starting the car up you have to press hard. Once you get driving they are fine. It does leak some oil, not a lot. You just have to keep an eye on it and probably put cardboard under it. Also, if the car sits for 3 weeks or so you will have to charge the battery up with a charger. I think this is somewhat normal for 80's corvettes. It has started everytime for me after doing so. Those are the issues I can think of. The gas mileage isn't to bad. I mostly drive it in the country and get maybe 21-23 mpg it seems. I am starting the bidding out at $2600 with no reserve because I don't need two corvettes. Whatever it goes for it goes for. I am trying to be as honest as I can in the description. The car is a 1984 with 141k so it's not perfect. If someone wants to come look at the car let me know. If there is any questions email me and I will be glad to answer. Please don't bid unless you intend to pay or if you have feedback issues. The buyer has to pick up the car or make arrangements. For the payment I would prefer cash but would take a money order. I am an hour away from Madison, Wisconsin.
