1955 Studebaker Champion 2 door coupe, was orignally a 6 cylinder, was swapped to a Studebaker "Sweepstakes 289" from 56-59 Studebaker. Transmission is the 3 speed column shift, runs beautifully, drives straight, sounds awesome, true dual exhaust with Flowmaster type muffllers. Car was restored approx 6-7 years ago, still in good shape. Odometer says 73630 miles, im assuming thats on the body. Car is still the original 6 volt electrical, and everything does work. Car runs and drives, you could drive it to a car show right now!!On Apr-06-11 at 15:28:35 PDT, seller added the following information: I was also informed by the gentleman I purchased the car from, that the engine and transmission are BOTH from a 56-59 Studebaker, which has approximately 50-55,000 miles currently. The shell of the car has 73,000. In the 2 years I've owned the car, I have added the dual exhaust($500) new battery cables, completely rebuilt the entire radiator ($800), and basic maintenance. Never had a problem with anything. I hate to see the car go, but due to my first child being born, i no longer have the time to enjoy the car. Happy bidding, your getting a good car.
